Yea I get this sound and I actually feel it in a closed space, luckily It’s easily masked but is super loud in quiet areas.

I have the same type of tinnitus but it isn’t noise induced and it reacts exactly as your explained.

@Michael Leigh my cousin is a DJ with noise induced tinnitus that started 10 years ago and he never stopped with loud music and gaming, he never experienced a change in his tinnitus which is weird to me is that normal 10 years later?

I have that plus severe loud tinnitus. It doesn’t bother me at all because of tinnitus so I guess when you have one problem the other one doesn’t matter much...

Sounds like your tinnitus is from noise exposure in my opinion since it’s in one ear, this means you have a really good shot of it going away... stay away from any loud noise for a couple months and do not by any means put on head phones even at the lowest volume... since your tinnitus is mild...

On the bright side, the UMich trial is still in play and not being paused for the virus as of now...

@Frédéric Yea and I have severe tinnitus as they explained to me at the clinic and put me on sound therapy and benzos... my tinnitus came from ototoxicity and I will do anything to fix it.

Yea before the flight I was able to mask it and now I’m not even able to if I put it on the highest volume it actually mixes with it but my tinnitus doesn’t seem louder, does this mean I have 2 tones and if so how do I “almost mask i” @Michael Leigh
