A Bit of Positivity — My Tinnitus Is there but Feels Like It's Not There

Has happened to me before, it's like it's there but farther away. That's the beggining of the habituation process.

If Your Tinnitus Was Cured, What Would Be the First Thing You Do Afterwards?

I'd do the same things I do daily, because I'm not letting T stop my life. It's really hard and tyring, but doable

Increased Perception After an Episode of Fleeting Tinnitus

Hi guys, hope you are all doing better since I haven't been around for a while. My tinnitus the last few months didn't bother me that much. Has anyone started paying attention to the tinnitus for a few days and it increases its volume out of the blue? I had an episode of fleeting tinnitus...

I'm Freaking Out and Searching for Tinnitus Every Moment

Update: I haven't heard the morse code for about a month. The solution was to take my mind out of it, got into my studies and aced an exam (yay), fortunately the sound got quieter when days passed and it's been a while since it dissapeared. Sorry I haven't been around to update sooner.

Having a lot of beeping now, did it go away on its own? I'm freaking out a little. On the bright side, on Monday I'm going to an ENT specialised in Tinnitus that works with a full team of psicologists, psychiatrists and tmj specialist, hope to find something out about what's going on.

I'm Freaking Out and Searching for Tinnitus Every Moment

I feel I can't breathe properly, I'm searching for my T every moment and I can't stop doing it, I'm really freaking out and really frustrated. I developed a morse code beeping a week ago, it's low in volume but I'm freaking out so hard that I I'm probably imagining it rather than hearing it. I...

    New Sound: Morse Code

Thank you Glynis. I don't know what might be causing it, this week I'll go back to the ENT to get a full check, he told me wait a few days and see what happens before doing the full hearing check. Is not that loud, but I'm constantly looking for it l, I'm very anxious. Hope you are doing great

    New Sound: Morse Code

Hi all, haven't posted in a while. I have had tinnitus for a few years, a high pitched tone in both ears. Last week I was reading a book in bed and noticed a strange sound, like a morse code beep. That entire day my neck and head were hurting so I was trying to relax a little. Thought it was...

    Using Two Types of Earplugs

Hi there, I've been using my Alpine Musicsafe for quite some time, but I lost one and I have my sister's graduation party in a few days (can't get a new pair in that short time). I was wondering if I could use a foam one (3M) in my tinnitus ear and my remaining Alpine musicsafe in the other ear...

    Alive and Kicking!

So glad to hear you got some relief. Just to be sure, you got masking devices and the T reduced it's volume even when you are not using them? I'm considering TRT again now, done it before and worked wonders for me, but now I'm going through an increase in volume and going nuts

Married or in a Relationship with Somebody Else with Tinnitus?

My gf hears nothing but silence, but my grandmother has a loud hissing T and lives a happy life. She used on her T an approach similar to "back to silence" and doesn't hear it unless she wants to, pretty impresive

Tried the 8500Hz S-tone that Steve created, it's just unpleasant to hear, tried for about 2 mins and could not continue haha. Thanks @Steve , my left ear T is around 8300-8500 so maybe tomorrow I will try to use it at least 10 min and see if I get any improvements.

My Success Story! (Cut Out the Coffee)

Both of my ears click when I open my jaw. Was told I had a Mandibular disfunction (probably because of many punches playing basketball, lost a couple of teeth too). My TMJ specialist gave me a night guard but in 1 month no improvements so far, will have to wait a little longer. How is yours...

A Question for the Cured People (If They Are Still Around)

When I was ok and didn't think about T I stopped coming to this forum (sorry about that), people generally move on with their lives and don't come back, that's why there are not many success stories and a lot of sad and dark posts. When I started to feel better about my T I found myself not...

    Alarm-Pattern Tinnitus

I have T since 2014, in 2015 with TRT and counseling managed to lower it's perception to nearly 0, then last month had some hard time at uni with a lot of exams and the T started to bother me again, developed this new tone and started the newbie fears again haha, I will return to the TRT as soon...

    Alarm-Pattern Tinnitus

Hi Mario, for about a week and a half now, Sooner or later I'll habituate again and it will settle down just like the 8khz tone did last year. 6 Months In and Much Better but Emotions Vary

In 2014 when I got T I would mask it everynight, then went to a TRT therapist for a few sessions of counseling. I'm having sinus issues and my T spiked after 1 year. I could hear it only at nights, now it's louder and not as pleasant. Do you think it will be back to baseline? I'm really scared. Having two finals on monday and wednesday and can't study at all, im too worried. Thanks

    Clonazepam (Klonopin, Rivotril)

The effect I feel taking clonazepam is like an instant habituation that fades away when the effect ends. Hearing the peeeeeeeee in my ears doesn´t bother me and I just forget about it while doing other stuff. It's effective for those times when I have spikes, like this week.
