I agree mate, I think that is really the key, maybe just knowing they are there as an option can help me mentally through the tough times too, not having to take them but just knowing a bit of relief is there if needed can do a lot for ones sanity I feel.

Thank you for the ressaurance, I will only use them to help sleep etc when I am desperate, I think taking them all the time would definitely not be a wise choice even though it's easy to fall down that hole.

I am really sorry you are struggling with it too, I hope habituation is not too far off for you, I am going to try some craniosacral therapy as I've heard some good things, I think anything at this point is worth a try, what may not work for some may work for others or vice versa.

I've found Tonal Tinnitus Therapy which seems it does the same, a bit of white noise followed by a series of beeps that flactuate around the pitch of your tinnitus. I will give this a go and report back. Thank you!

I have given that a go, it relieves it for a few seconds, I wonder if doing that repeatedly for long periods of time would help to habituate and not really be able to hear the noise anymore.

Has anyone tried anti anxiety medications with success? I don't mind taking an ssri if it won't create more ringing but they take a while to work, what about benzos are they the better option?
