AM-101 Clinical Trial — Participants Updates and Discussion

Hey guys I had disappeared for quite a while, and never delivered a final summary after my two rounds of AM-101. By now, it's been about 9 months since my last injections, and I cannot report any relevant or lasting improvement. Summed up, I would say that I came into the trial with...

    Painkillers and Tinnitus

Thanks for the advice Well, I decided to skip Ibuprofen, but went with half a dose of a mefenamic acid med. That was one week ago. Could not feel any effect in the first two days with regard to T, but am now having a pretty intense spike that has lasted since. Could be related, does not have...

    Painkillers and Tinnitus

Hi there Have been gone for quite a while, but am back with quite an urgent question. I have read many stories and opinions on the effect of various drugs on T. After getting T in 2015, I simply refused to take any drugs. Worked well until today. But now I am facing a problem: One of my finger...

AM-101 Clinical Trial — Participants Updates and Discussion

I agree. At least in my case, I am sure that the worsening in T comes from the procedure itself (needle slip & intense suction), not the medicine. Dizziness is a different topic. IF it is related, then it is likely to be an unwanted side effect of the drug.

AM-101 Clinical Trial — Participants Updates and Discussion

Yes, it does concern me as well. Or put less delicately; It scares the crap out of me! I have felt like hungover for two weeks (without a headache though). I already did go for an unplanned checkup last week. They ran a couple of standard tests and as a result, they believe that the vertigo does...

My Story. Feel Like I'm Slowly Losing the Battle.

Hi Karel Very sorry to read about your struggles. I wish you lots of strength! It is hard to believe that a phone call (!) could cause any long-term negative impact. I believe that you have good chances that things will settle over the next days and weeks. I could not agree more. For me, with...

    Better Late Than Never...

Dear all After joining the forum last November and many posts since, I feel it's about time to introduce myself. And since it already been 10 months, it is quite a long introduction. I added titles so that it is easier to skip the parts that are not of interest. About me I am male and 30 years...

Poll: Did You Know Loud Noise Could Cause Tinnitus or Hyperacusis?

I knew about T as a condition (some friends suffer from it as well), had no clue about H tho. Although knowing that extended times at exessive volumes may trigger T, I did not expect it to come from 0 to 100 with a single stumble.

    Dirty Electricity

I have never heard of these devices. And as an engineer, I too am very sceptical about anything that magically eliminates invisible smog. However, quickly googled it and the reviews of these things on Amazon and Co. are suprisingly consistent - and very positive :cyclops:. I can definitely say...

    Audiens — The Tinnitus Pill

Interesting to read about that. Wondering if the effect will last. May be a rip-off, but to be fair, the ingredients pretty much cover what I was recommended from the doctor (Ginkgo, Magnesium, Zinc) after cortisone didn't work. And at least the Ginkgo part was not much cheaper than the pills...

    On & Off Loud Humming

Glad that I found this thread. I am experiencing the same issue. I have had tinnitus for about 10 months now, and until last week, it had been in the high frequency range. Last Sunday, however, when I woke up, I noticed this low frequency hum (somewhere at 100...200 Hz, so very deep) in my...

Poll: Does Driving a Car Make Your Tinnitus Worse?

I would say that yes, in my case driving makes is worse. But not while driving (i.e. it is ofen mostly masked during the drive) but with a delay. May be a relevant factor or not. As long as experts cannot even agree on whether a tinnitus becomes chronic after few weeks or several years, I guess try and error is the only way to find out. I am close to a complete breakdown by now. This has been very different from my phase III experience so far. The T increase in my right ear is far beyond what I usually get when I block my ears i.e. use ear plugs for a long period of time. I would rate it at 8/10. I can hear it in the shower...

That's odd. I am sure that I did not misunderstand it, the message from the doctor was very clear. Some new infos about the follow-up rounds: As I was informed by the doctor, the number of follow-up rounds has been limited to 1 set of 3 injections after the end of phase III with immediate effect. I second that. As a participant of phase III, you are entitled to the real drug as a "goodie" for participating after 90 days. Well, I am not much of a poet. And it may sound like a super lame proposal, but have you considered getting yourself a pillow filled with millet? That's quite common where I am from. I know that in other countries, wheat fillings are more popular. Both would probably help you a bit, as they...

By improved I mean that the volume of T has gone down significantly since the event. So by now, quiet places are usually not an issue.
