My spike from J&J seems to be receding now (3 weeks out from shot). Not at baseline, but an improvement!

I got J&J vaccine 3 days ago. I had a serious spike yesterday (one those times when one ear goes deaf for a few seconds and then comes back online), and tinnitus remains elevated. At least I have a lot of practice coping and moving forward with my life. I will update in a week.

you can run the acrn on mac using chrome (not safari). The app no longer relies on audiolet.

I got a couple emails that my ACRN web page was no longer working, and indeed, web protocols have evolved enough that it no longer works in certain versions of chrome. I rebuilt the app using modern web libraries (React/Node), and now it works again. This time it will also work on mobile...

Setbacks will happen. It's unavoidable. I have recovered from all of them so far :)

I'm about to have an MRI. I specifically found a treatment center that had a http://medical.toshiba.com/products/mr/vantage-titan-15t/index.php machine. That seemed like the quietest option, though I'm totally open to other machines.

I have a few different sets of earmuffs all over my house which I can grab at a moments notice. Its a tricky balancing act.

BTW - you can manually set the frequencies in the web-app. Just click on each frequency - you can adjust the frequency and volume of each tone.

Yup - its broken in new version of chrome. I took a quick look - its breaking in a deeper layer of the code. I don't really have time to look into this. The source code is available on github: https://github.com/generalfuzz/acrn. If anyone gets around to fixing this, I'm happy to update the code...

I took a 6+ month break from music when I got T + H. I found that the ringing was always worse after I was working on tunes. It was devastating. I instead focused my energy on coding projects (I always need something to invest in outside of work + family) - which is when I built the ACRN app...

Do you hear the ticking noises at the beginning or the end of the tones? I can change the shape of the envelope to ensure they don't occur. The pattern in the sequences is from the paper - random within some parameters.

The idea behind http://generalfuzz.net/acrn is to replicate the protocol from the device sold @ http://www.thetinnitusclinic.co.uk/. It might not be exactly the same, but hopefully it would have the same effect. If nothing else, you'll get a better sense of what you would be investing in.

Thanks. The sound is generated in the browser using the audiolet javascript library. It took me a while to figure out how to use it correctly.
