Share Your Coronavirus (COVID-19) Vaccine Experience: Any Impact on Your Tinnitus or Hyperacusis?

I got J&J vaccine 3 days ago. I had a serious spike yesterday (one those times when one ear goes deaf for a few seconds and then comes back online), and tinnitus remains elevated. At least I have a lot of practice coping and moving forward with my life. I will update in a week.

I got a couple emails that my ACRN web page was no longer working, and indeed, web protocols have evolved enough that it no longer works in certain versions of chrome. I rebuilt the app using modern web libraries (React/Node), and now it works again. This time it will also work on mobile...

I would love to see a summary of advances in tinnitus/hyperacusis research for 2014. I tend to get caught up in the day to day posts - I've lost sight if we've made significant (or insignificant) strides this year.

    MRI With Severe Hyperacusis

FYI - it went fine. It wasn't a whole lot of fun, but I knew what I was signing up for (jackhammers next to my head). I got T from a 20 day course of a pain relieving drug called "Relafen". H crept in a month or two later, and has been persistent for the past 1.5 years. It is not severe H - I can get by in most situations wearing earplugs, but I'm wearing them almost every time I leave the house. It can be...

    Musicians with Tinnitus Support/Advice Thread

I took a 6+ month break from music when I got T + H. I found that the ringing was always worse after I was working on tunes. It was devastating. I instead focused my energy on coding projects (I always need something to invest in outside of work + family) - which is when I built the ACRN app...

Any Musicians Still Active Playing Music?

I produce mellow-ish electronic music, which has turned out to be a blessing since I can completely control the overall volume. I took a 6 month or so break after getting T. I eased back into it, and eventually discovered that I wasn't having as much reactive T as I was initially.

Acoustic CR® Neuromodulation: Do It Yourself Guide

    1. Not really. The library I'm using the generate the tones really is just a pure tone sine wave oscillator. The only way I have to shape the tone is using an ADSR envelope. I spent a good while dialing in that envelope making it as smooth as possible given those restrictions. 2. Yes. This to me...

Do you hear the ticking noises at the beginning or the end of the tones? I can change the shape of the envelope to ensure they don't occur. The pattern in the sequences is from the paper - random within some parameters.
