    Dysacusis — Will It Subside?

I personally don’t see any difference except for increased ringing and sensitivity to sounds. Which as I said subside after withdrawal. So :dunno:

    Foam Bubbles Sound?

Hello everyone! Does anyone here have a strange sound, like foam bubbles bursting inside your ears? It started at night 2 weeks ago and doesn’t look like going away. It was triggered by a middle ear spasm (thumping) and then turned into constant and very light crackling, like bath foam... I...

    Dysacusis — Will It Subside?

And believe me it was BAD. Sometimes I wanted just to shut everything down and put myself into a soundproof cabin. I hated watching TV, especially when a background music was coming, because that was the most whistling part. But I kept watching and telling myself that this will pass, I will get...

    Dysacusis — Will It Subside?

Yes, it was absolutely the same for me - a noise was so real and felt like it was coming from a real source. Even flushing a toilet was a torture (sorry!). And I also prayed for having just my ordinary T back. I know easier said than done, but don’t worry and treat it as... as my husband said...

    Dysacusis — Will It Subside?

I know, it’s super frustrating. But just try not to focus. I must say that I just woke up one day, forgot to check on a sound to see if it’s still there, and later realized that it’s not. Do you take anything like Flonase? I have to say that I used it for 3 months as prescribed, and things got...

    Dysacusis — Will It Subside?

Yes! But it took around 3 months. I had a VERY noisy flight yesterday, after which it seems that the sensitivity has returned a bit, but I don’t focus on this anymore.

Not Sure If It's Hyperacusis I'm Experiencing

The first audiologist whom I reached told me that there is a condition often associated with basically just hearing yourself, your body working. No one knows why brain plays this on us, so yes, you can be hyper aware and start hearing internal sounds. Because human body IS loud :)

Having a Cold — Hyperacusis Is Almost Gone

Same for me. I have difficulties not to actually pop my tubes, but to close it - they tend to open during any physical activity. So whenever having cold I feel T and sensitivity diminishes greatly.

    "Hearing Distortion" "Recruitment" "Reactive Tinnitus"

@SilverSpiral thanks for explanation. It’s just so sad, I can’t... I’m habituated to T, but this extra layering of sounds out of nowhere... how can someone habituate to this? The moment you’re done with one sound and tone, here you go - threat yourself with another challenge :arghh:

    Tinnitus and Septoplasty

What noise do you thing a classic surgery performed on septum can produce? I’ve done mine and actually even if you opt for a laser, surgeon still will make couple of hits and only then they clean the rest with laser. So it will be noisy anyway.. if that’s the sound you’re scared of.

    How Did Your Tinnitus Start?

I didn’t get mine overnight. I was living next to a huge supermarket and always heard some sort of a whining sound from it (fans, ventilation, etc.), but it never bothered me. Dysacusis — Will It Subside?

I’m absolutely dreaded. No idea what happened, but all sounds, like a car passing by or a sound of a refrigerator, have a high-pitched undertone to it. Mimi Hearing Test App Review

OK now I am panicking... My tinnitus started 1.5 years ago and I was very proactive with all types of testing incl. hearing ones, which showed no hearing loss (up to a standard hearing range of course), so basically I was told I was having a GOOD hearing for my age and I was 27 back then...

Has Anyone on Here Used Glycine for Sleep and/or Anxiety?

It usually comes in 100 mg pill (in Russia). You take it for 30 days if you want to ease stress (3 times a day) and you can repeat the course with 30-days break, or you place in under your tongue 20 min before you go to sleep if you want to fix your sleeping pattern. You can have up to 6 courses...

Has Anyone on Here Used Glycine for Sleep and/or Anxiety?

In Russia glycine is used by everyone - from babies to elders - it is absolutely harmless (placebo-kind of stuff :)). Popular among students to raise focus and calm down nerves before exams. You can try, but I wouldn't have high hopes

    Tinnitus Upon Waking?

I don't really think it is linked directly to your eye movement. I think once you're awaken, your body performs check of all the subsystems that were idle. So when your brain reaches your hearing it automatically detects T. At least this is how I explain it to myself :) My T is worst in the...

    Nose Surgery

No doctor can confirm that there is direct correlation between septum deviation and tinnitus, but extreme deviation and ETD usually come together. Next question is whether ETD is the reason for tinnitus or it is something else.. So no direct indication for surgery in order to resolve exactly...

    Nose Surgery

I checked your threads, do you have ETD? I'm sure you should have a little patience - you will also notice some improvement someday. Nose Surgery

I had a surgery 2 weeks ago, so nothing to tell so far. My surgeon said it would take up to 1.5-2 month for swelling to come off, and up to 2-3 months for ETD to resolve as a result of restored ventilation. He also noticed (and he stressed that even before the surgery), that he cannot guarantee...

Hi Simon! I am also going through a nose surgery in July! Tinnitus and Septum (Bony Part Growth) — Surgery

Hi everyone, I have been a long time silent reader, but now that I am ready to try a new cure for my T I decided to ask for opinions. Briefly, I had my T since October 2015. Nothing major happened, except for maybe overtime hours at work, which glued me to chair. Starting as a strange noise...
