    Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19) and Tinnitus

So... Is It Okay for Me to Listen to My Music a Little Louder?

I've had noise induced tinnitus for 4 years now and I can tell you that I have never used a decibel meter before and I'm pretty much fine, I get random spikes but I don't think it is because of sound (just stress related maybe?).

Dramatically Changing Tinnitus — Daily from 1 to 100: How Is This Possible?

It is pretty normal to have it fluctuate so much the first year, your body is trying to find its "balance" before it will settle and either go away completely or become permanent. I've had tinnitus for several years now and over the years it had pretty much gotten softer each year and tinnitus...

Fleeting Tinnitus Lasting Until the Next Day?

Hey everyone! It's been a very long time since I last posted, hope y'all are ok! Yesterday I went on a walk on the Golden Gate Bridge, it was extremely windy... I had my earplugs in though. About 4 hours later I was doing dishes when the usual fleeting tinnitus happened in my left ear... I get...

I Got Hit with a Puck to the Side of My Helmet — Caused Me More Tinnitus

I assume it's the same as dropping a metal toaster and the sound that results is right next to your ear. I had this happen last week and it made me go instant deaf too as well as a more obvious pitch. It goes away after 5 minutes (in some cases 24 hours) but it does go away.

4 Years of Tinnitus — Still Bugs Me, Yet Something Good and Interesting Has Come Out of It

My tinnitus has remain the same since 2 years ago however my awareness has increased so i have to do the whole habituation thing over again. 4 Years of Tinnitus — Still Bugs Me, Yet Something Good and Interesting Has Come Out of It

The same with me, I throw myself into sewing and reading more these days and less focus is placed on materialism and vain pursuits. The avoidance of loud places has shaped and change my view of the world as well, for the better and I am grateful for it.

I've read about the opposite of what people here have stated, either way it really won't make a difference because nobody's experience is ever replicated. T may get better, or it may get worse, no one can predict the outcome. A lot of it may/may not boil down to: diet, exercise, genetics...

Why Does Sleep Start and Stop Tinnitus?

My T is quietest in the morning (especially after waking up where it is virtually non-existent), it gets louder as the day goes on. It is quietest after waking up from a nap too. My T is loudest at night but quietest 3-4 hours after waking.

On "Good" Tinnitus Days Do You "Feel" Your Tinnitus Even If You Don't Register a Tone?

It's weird, sometimes i can "feel" my t sort of like some kind of "aura" or vibration emanating from the center of my head. I can't hear it, i can only sense it like how one senses a thunderstorm coming. This is only on bad days though, and I would feel my ears being stuffy or something.

Anxiety and Tinnitus Taking Over My Life

One thing that helps me overcome feeling a particular way is when I read the stories I keep an objective point of view: these are other people's experiences, they are not mine, I do not know what the future has in store for me. There are many factors that come into play so don't discredit...

Is It Normal to Get Ear Pain and Tinnitus Spikes from "Normal" City Traffic Sounds?

It depends on the kind of city, I went to Philly a few months ago and it was so loud... I could hear someone's car radio from 30 stories up in a hotel with my windows closed... They might have had custom speakers installed. Philly and Chicago are two of the loudest cities in the US that I've...

I'm very careless around noise, i generally protect my ears when i hear a car coming by cupping or pressing down on my lobes.
