Why Is My Tinnitus Reactive If It Isn't Hyperacusis?

I'm the same as you. When I lie down (or it used to be like that, I'm currently going through a really bad spike), my tinnitus calms down. As soon as I get up out of bed, boom, the hissing and ringing starts and stays that way for the entire day. What would a physical therapist do?

Why Do So Many People Hear a Hissing Sound?

I have really loud hissing at the moment. It's usually never this loud and if my tinnitus is really bad, I don't hear the hissing at all, just a really loud high pitch tone in each ear.

Tinnitus Spiked and Got Worse After Acupuncture — Is This Normal?

Hey, yeah my T calmed down after the acupuncture, eventually. I stopped going though to be honest because after a few sessions I found it was affecting me mentally bc my T kept spiking, and I suppose it was doing the opposite of what acupuncture should do - relax you. So I gave it up. I tried...

OK. I missed that part. Anyway my point was more so for those who don't live in Ireland, it's not a case where it's going to be a lifetime away from releasing internationally. So to give them more hope.

Yes, that's what my acupuncturist said too. The high pitch went down eventually. But ultimately, and in hindsight, I don't think acupuncture made any difference to be honest. Only burned a hole in my wallet.

Q&A: Tinnitus Hub Meets Neuromod (Lenire)

Man, you are not a nice person. The girl is only sharing her feedback and has said numerous times she doesn't know if it's a solution for all. Yet you come along and provide such a negative response. Also, I think it's absolutely ridiculous you're going on like 'Oh no one's tinnitus is worse...

Finally Habituated to My Tinnitus, but Now It's Bothering Me Again!

Yes, I agree with you. When you're feeling low or anxious, T is heightened, meaning you're dealing with multiple issues at that point. And then of course the more you focus on the T the louder it gets. It's better to keep busy, but that's not always possible!

Tinnitus for 6 Months — Pregnancy Making It Louder?

Hi, I am glad to hear it has calmed down since. Yes once you have your little baby it will be worth it. I know what it feels like as I already have a little girl. In fact my little girl is a blessing as sometimes when my T is really bad I just look at her and it makes me so happy. Also kids...

Tinnitus for 6 Months — Pregnancy Making It Louder?

Hi Anusha, are you still experience really high T in your pregnancy? I too have T. Have it since May 2017. I have a little girl, and she was only 9months when T started. Thankfully in the beginning it wasn't too loud, but it has progressively gotten worse. That said, I have gotten to a stage...

Finally Habituated to My Tinnitus, but Now It's Bothering Me Again!

Well I wouldn't go as far as to say it's H, but maybe a mild form of H. It only lasts for a few hours. The noises that would be sensitive would be people talking loudly or my 2 yr old toddler screaming or shouting. I don't have it when I do not go to the gym. So it's only twice, three times a...

I'm all for that. I would be completely in agreement re. raising awareness and ultimately finding a solution rather than just having to live with this. It really is a terrible condition. Hey, yeah possibly. But my gym is actually a really quiet gym. It's not really busy and is quite small. They play music but not really loud and the weights don't make too much noise.
