Hello, I‘m Jiri and This Is My Story (Bad Tinnitus 5 Weeks In) Help, Please.

Čau Jirko, there we go, another member from my country. :) I have read everything you had posted... And I must say I have been having similar T journey as you right now. @jjflyman posts were also super important for me - and actually kept me sane during first couple weeks (especially because...

Isn't It OK to Use Headphones Even at Low Volume?

This is a very important thread for me, I have been avoiding headphones since my second T onset, but I have to admit, I would like to be little bit more "normal" and not to be afraid of normal everyday situations (which is also using headphones once in while on low volume). @Michael Leigh , can...

    Tinnitus Newbie

I have actually found them really helpful. Just maybe for a new T sufferer, there a lot of them are aimed to habituation and not mentioning possible healing (spontaneously or by finding the reason for the T onset). And I still personally feel there is real chance that every type of the may T...

    New to Tinnitus

I do not have any particular help or cure, but I can say that one month is still a short time and T can also resolve itself spontaneously (you can go through success stories). This information kept my alive during my first onset and keep me half-alive during the relapse. And my ENT said: the...

    Tinnitus Newbie

Hello Sammy. I would suggest you to seek also for some psychiatric help as soon as possible for some basic evaluation (if you will feel down couple more days). A good doctor can decide whether you need some medication. I was able to "resist" without any AD-type medication for almost two months...

Stop Telling Me to Live with It or Habituate

Because it was so quiet that your brain can easily ignore it (and there was no emotional response to it). Our sounds are so loud that brain cannot ignore them. But my point is that it will be difficult to ignore the sound of T even if it gets better, because we have experienced this loud T. And...

Well... results of The Heller and Bergman experiment and also result of my super small experiment show that majority (>90%) people can hear "something" in complete silence. But you could have been one of the minority or you did not have ability to hear the T.

Maybe I should really reconsider my research and move from saving our planet to tinnitus research. It would be definitely much more easier to get my research funded. :D It really seems that for most of the people there is some sound. I think I can little bit relate to this. I got my T first...

    Stress-Induced Tinnitus — 19 Years Old

We are all afraid. Don't get me wrong, I am super afraid right now. But very important thing is to remember, that most of the people can hear...

    Stress-Induced Tinnitus — 19 Years Old

This is something (static buzz), which 9 out 10 people has stated they hear in the anechoic chamber during my experiment last month. You are very young, there is always higher chance of T fading in case of young people (mine faded to 10% when I was 16 - and I have never thought about since -...

This is some crazy ride. First month after my acoustic trauma I experienced very somatic T. After the prednisone infusions during week 3 after the onset, my T changed from mild/moderate to moderate/loud. It stayed like this for 4 days. Two weeks after the prednisone, somatic T became to fade...

My Tinnitus Is My Fault, I Feel So Hopeless

Please do not worry too much, since you are very new to the T. I am no doctor, but the negative effect of the medication can leave after some time when the body get rid of the active substance. With T, it is almost not possible to predict if it will fade completely. But in your case (sinus infection), the chance is suuuuuper high. That is very similar to mine first. First calm yourself. That is the most important with mild T (also with T in general, but I am totally struggling). Back then I actually realised that a lot of people has tinnitus to some point, but their mind is totally ignoring it. And if it not intrusive...
