I'm a 1.5/10 but the first year was sucicidal bad. I didn't leave the house for nine months. I had to work very very hard to find a way to keep going.

Tobramycin after years of reflection was the cause of my tinnitus. I used the eye drops, too much as I pushed to hard, literally five minutes later the tinnitus started. Never has gone away since. That being said, I used too much by accident, it might be ok if you use the correct amount.

How do you know they accept tinnitus as a condition? I cannot see anything except they will accept people who are not well, i.e. going blind due to old age? Tinnitus still may not be a satisfying criteria unless it is found elsewhere on the website.

You have BFS. I'm happy to chat to you about it as I freaked the fuck out and gave myself a severe case of it and then convinced myself I have severe RLS and will never sleep again. Anxiety, what a great time.

It has gone away for me. All I can say is it was a very bad few months when I had it... I occasionally still get it but nowhere as bad. There is a lot more hope that the thumping goes away than 'real' tinnitus.

Is yours widespread throughout the body? How do you find it possible to sleep? I am really struggling with the nerve/twitching issues I have through my feet. It is honestly so hard, sometimes I google how to end it all and I'm not sure how much longer I can pretend.

I feel the exact same, doctors have done nothing but destroy my mental health ever since I became ill with tinnitus etc... most of the time it is up to us. It is great to hear it is subsiding. I bet it will completely disappear over the next few weeks/months.

Mine took months to go away... I had to really calm myself down.

I've started on melatonin which helps me feel tired but does not shut down the thoughts that keep me wake. Are you sleeping?

It's so hard :(. Unfortunately we never know how long it will take for all these random crappy body functions to disappear. I find my body recovers a lot slower than others' and takes months to improve but I suffer from severe health anxiety.

I had the same reaction, was going to kill myself, I couldn't imagine anything worse. It slowed down and then it went away completely but I now have twitching all over my body (especially feet). It comes back on occasion, for a few hours but goes away again. I think I have benign fascination...

I had this exact reaction to amoxicillin. It went away after a few months, unfortunately I now have twitching and pins and needles in my feet all the time. Happy to answer any questions. P.S. I understand how hard it is to cope when things keep going wrong in the body for no apparent reason...

@Hariz Nonis what did the ENT say about the myoclonus? I'm still dealing with it too - thought it was getting better but not so sure anymore.

I too am going to spend my Christmas alone from my family and friends. I've had this terrible thumping appear in my ear and my anxiety has gone back to where I began. I'm going to give up my new job which started in the new year and move away from anyone I know.

@shellLA17 Thank you so much for your reply. It really does mean do much to me during this time. Can I ask, would your ears constantly thump for days? Mine individually thumps 24/7 with about 30 seconds to 3 minutes in between.

@Bill Bauer did you have it reasonably consistently for a few days and then it stopped or did you just have the one episode. My ears do individual thumps every few minutes, since the 7th (so 3 days now). I'm not sure what it really is and I'm wondering if you've ever had this

@Bill Bauer did you get any resolution from the thumping. I have the same thing for a few days now "hear and felt it flutter once every 0.5-10 seconds". I am really freaking out :(

Oh yeah for sure, DMSO is the solvent, it has nothing to do with the drug; it's the water to your coffee. It is a fairly heavy duty solvent but there are lots of other ones that could be tried and the solubility problems of drugs have been largely overcome by micelles - they probably just ran...

I'm a chemist (not pharmacist) and I'd say that any thing with DMSO in it has not been followed up with because it's not something you want in your body, it is particularly problematic for your kidneys.

My ears started popping when I first got tinnitus, four months later they are still popping with every jaw movement and swallow. If you work it out, let me know :-)
