Update 5 Months in: H is completely gone, i had a gathering with friends after christmas, laughter and screams didn't hurt a bit. No spike afterwards as far as i can tell. Tinnitus still lingering, some days bothering, other days i can't really notice it.

Happened to me in the first stages of H. After H backing off quite a bit, showers actually lower my perception of T.

Good rest + Busy schedule (With hearing protection) + Loved ones near does the trick for me. Sure I can listen to T roaring when wearing hearing plugs but it’s for the better. And remember, time is a good healer, either to fading or to habituation, it’s all just a matter of time.

Potentially not having tinnitus is only a minor issue if you undergo such obscure procedure...

Just checking, I experienced exactly what you had when I had hyperacusia. Invest in some LED light bulbs, maybe some high pitch is bothering you. Worth a look.

Although it helps ETD in some cases, some ears are delicate and should never do it hard. I agree that if done gently it shouldn’t be harmful in any way. I’m my case it just made my fullness worse so i stopped doing it. No harm done.

That’s a relieff. Had a friend in vacation there and thankfully he’s fine.

Just protect from excessive noise, carry earplugs on your bag or pockets every day. You have to use common sense as to which situation are loud. Nightclubs, IMAX cinemas, public transportation, etc. Vulnerability depends on the amount of damage. That, as another user already said, you should...

I’d just like to add to my previous post that it wasn’t intended to dismiss any severe case, if anyone interpreted that. Rather than stating that this serious issue should be handled more carefully in the view of thousand of new guests every day. Then again, it’s a free forum.

I'd like to add to this thread that since doing valsalva my ear pressure was staying, Today i haven't done it once and pressure is mostly gone. It might do more harm than good for some people.

I didn’t meet my true friends till I was 22 years old. Now we travel around the world together. There’s no timeframe for friendships as there is no timeframe for tinnitus. I did have social anxiety as well, would always like to be at home if possible. Take care.

Had a sudden drop in Tinnitus volume today: 1/10, my hearing feelt lower since i used a Qtip 2 days ago, it's probably wax buildup. Will check with ENT today. I guess it's getting better aside from the wax issue, if anything more WAX should increase awareness of Tinnitus.

A non stable tinnitus in early days is usually good, i would "Worry" if it stayed always the same tone and volume. It's on a downward spiral, Let's hope it reaches 0 HZ! :)

Either stop riding for a while, or stay on the forum. Remember that sound vibrates and might get to your ear thru bone conduction. I take it you been riding for some time, next time T could stay. Stop for a while and see if T ceases completely. Take care!
