That's because the chances are really low, 0.1 - 1% chance to get it from anti depressants, your other tablets didn't give you ringing.. so maybe it could be something else?

I went to an Empire cinema in the U.K. So yes it was a big cinema, I couldn't feel any bass tbh maybe because I sat in the middle? But overall I.T was not a loud movie compared to what I normally go and see.

I went to see it on Monday, not a loud movie at all, just miss the loud trailers and then go see it, still use ear plugs though but really it's a good movie and not loud at all like action movies

I still go to the movies with T, just saying

Sorry but how do you know that? He already suffered with bad depression.. and how does anyone know that even if he didn't get T he might still have committed suicide. Nobody will know.

@Crook24 same. If I'm out down the town I can't hear it, if I'm in my quite home I can hear it

@Crook24 yeah I understand, I'm still waiting to hear back from the doctors for my therapist appointment unfortunately I'm on a waiting list this is to sort out my anxiety and OCD which I've had for years, but yeah what does your T sound like by the way?

Short post here. It seems I only hear my tinnitus when I think about it... but when I seem to get another obsession stuck in my head I forget about the tinnitus and can't hear it, as I have been diagnosed with OCD, the obsessive thoughts part. Thoughts?

@Tinizzy I seem to be obsessing about it again unfortunately, but I also have a fear of getting illness's and once I start obsessing about one I forget about T, so mine just seems to be an obsession

@Tinizzy you seem to be obsessing about it that's why you can hear it so much, you need to try stop obsessing about it, like when mine first started I constantly obsessed about it and then I thought fine I'm just gonna let this be here and then all of a sudden I forgot and couldn't hear it...

@bob bauer have you tried to mask the sound out at nights so you can get a decent sleep?

@Tinizzy yeah I know what you mean, have you ever tried to do something to distract yourself so you stop thinking about it? I know it's easier said than done

@Tinizzy I had anxiety and OCD before my T lol, you will be fine you need to try and stay calm and just do somethings you enjoy, if the T is annoying you at nights try and mask it with something?

@Tinizzy 21, see I'm dealing with anxiety, OCD and mild depression and on that of that a T, I should be out partying lol, but I still get on with my day and not let these things rule me, I get anxious a lot though but I think I know how to handle it

@Tinizzy i take lorazepam for when needed and I will only take 2 a week max, but yeah therapy should be good, I'm still waiting for them to contact me back for my appointment

@Tinizzy you ever tried anti anxiety meds? I'm not trying to force you to take them because they are addictive unfortunately, but I do take them and they help a lot

@bob bauer you need to try calm down, you also seem highly anxious, you need to try and be how you were when you first got the T or when it lowered, how old are you btw?

@Tinizzy yeah maybe, you just need to stop getting so anxious about it, I have anxiety and ocd and a mild T and on about 4 different medications, but I still do my daily stuff

@Tinizzy what caused your tinnitus?

@Tinizzy so like how loud would you say it is? Can you hear it over a tv?

@Tinizzy thats why you can't get over it, once you get your anxiety down (being anxious) the T will go down, how loud is your hissing? Both ears or just the one?

@jocke yeah i probably should wear ear protection but wasn't thinking about it at the time, luckily it did get worse

Would just like to mention citalopram has never made my T worse

@jocke ive been to many loud things since it started, night clubs, bars etc and nothing has made it worse, just need to sort my anxiety out

@Tinizzy i take citalopram which seem to be good, doesn't make my T worse, but I'm taking it due to anxiety which was sky high for the first few weeks while taking but has improved

@Tinizzy yes definitely, I had a bad couple of weeks, but I stuck through it and it's starting to get better, no side effects anymore

Anti depressants don't work right away, I've been taking them for a month and I'm starting to feel abit better, but not taking them because of a T

@jocke sorry about that, your ear drum probably just needs time to heal which can take a couple of months

@jocke mine has went down quite abit, but now I just deal with it, sometimes I forget about it because I have OCD and anxiety I'm trying to sort out

Yep, like I forgot all about the ringing today and for some reason I overheard people talking about tinnitus and once again I can hear the ringing lol, so now let's wait till I get a new obsession again

@UpDownAround oh yeah definitely, I can't think of any way that would have caused me to get it physically

@UpDownAround yeah I understand that, I don't have depression, I just have bad anxiety at the minute and I get anxious many times a day and I have to calm myself down so I don't have a panic attack (which I don't want again) so in my theory I'm only hearing the ringing because I'm obsessing...

@3ri0w well I'm not gonna say that sorry, all you need to know is that they are negative intrusive thoughts unfortunately, but I'm getting a therapist

@JodieStephens its a 1% chance, I've been taking antidepressants for a while now and it's never made my T worse

@jocke @w-drak well I unblocked my right ear and the ringing went away in that ear, and now I just have ringing in my left ear but haven't had it unblocked yet

Can anyone help me understand how matching tinnitus frequency works? I listen to the frequencies and just don't get how to find my frequency... I just listen to random ones and in the end I just can't seem to understand how it works.

Well I went to the doctors and I have really blocked ears full with wax oops (don't clean my ears enough) and she said that's what's causing a ringing in my ear and this also happened to my dad half a year ago and when the wax got removed his ear stopped ringing. Anyways will olive oil be okay...

@jocke well I went to the doctors today and she looked into both of my ears and apparently she says she can't see anything but wax in my ears lol, so I've been told to use an ear wax removal kit so that's 2 or 3 drops for a week and see what happens

@jocke did you ever find a mask thing for night or not?

@jocke still the same, still listening to my mask but just at nights, just can't wait to ring the doctor tomorrow

@glynis ah right thanks. Yeah I've read that antidepressants can cause it but it's rare, so you think it's best to talk with my doctor and getting my ears tested?

@meeb Least you are staying positive and still looking for a job, which is great some people don't manage it, if you keep up with it maybe within time of your new job you'll forget about it, in case you wondering I have a ringing noise in my left ear
