Neurons misfiring/hyperactivity is definitely what causes mine. I also have visual snow and BFS. My whole body is basically misfiring and is out of sync. I never used headphones or had noise induced tinnitus. Just spontaneously came on one day after having visual snow.

If a Tinnitus Sound Goes Away When You Plug Your Ears, Is It Actually Tinnitus?

Hi, weird question. But. I have a new noise at the moment. If I plug my ears though. It completely goes away. I notice it also seems to respond to certain other sounds. The tinnitus that I have had long-term is constantly there and does not improve if I plug my ears. Just makes it feel much...

Getting a Constant Rapid Thump/Flutter Sound in Ears — Very Scared

Hi, I woke up yesterday and my right ear is going crazy. It's like someone is constantly tapping a microphone 100 times a minute in my ear or a butterfly is in there flying around. I do not think it is normal tinnitus as this sound goes away if I put my finger in my ear (I can feel something...

Speaking from my own experience. The sound from that video is identical to my tinnitus and having it on a the lowest volume possible that still masks your tinnitus is ideal. Don't think it will work if you are hearing a different noise. But, I'm sure there are other sound therapies out there you...

If You Could Go Back to Week 1 of Your Tinnitus, What Would You Do Differently?

Seeing as my tinnitus happened in mid 2017. I would buy a tonne of bitcoin as the price skyrocketed a few months later. The tinnitus itself does not bother me. So, I'd just tell myself not to panic.

I would play it from my phone. Usually put it on a nearby shelf at a low volume. Just enough to mask my tinnitus. There wasn't really a set pattern I would use. It was more of a case that I'd listen to it whenever I needed it to be honest. Whether that was night or day. Sometimes for 10 minutes...
