Well it's been a week and sadly no improvements. I thought by day 5
I was a bit better but sadly it just fluctuates or was the nac masking it.
I took 1500 mg NAC within 24 hrs. 1000 for 2 days after and now just 500 mg a day. Also 800mg of magnesium glycinate per day. All to no avail :(
This...
I am trying but I have ear pain and trying to rest my ears as much as possible..However, I have gone for a long walk, and cleaned my house, cooked a nice dinner last night, and even decorated a bit for Halloween. As a single mother I can't stop doing daily things. Problem now is, it hurts alot...
Well I did say I was sound sensitive and could not have drills and asked for manual cleaning. The hygeniest imo with her sighing and looking at watch, went for this obnoxious tool to save time.
As usual they don't understand hyperacusis & tinnitus
Yes a class action lawsuit. I can't believe...
Well it sounded like a power saw in my ear and head. So yes, too loud.
Reading this makes me feel like I may be sick. I am sick over it. And truly very worried. :(
Crazily enough, I did ask for a manual cleaning. I told her beforehand I could not handle drills. I had never heard of the ultrasonic cleaner before. She literally pulled it out from behind me and blasted away. Why did I grin and bear it?! I don't know but it wasn't long before I waved my hand...
Thank you. 2nd night now :(
Currently it is fluctuating between high pitch frequency sound, to then loud hissing. So all over..oh! But 1500mg of NAC did quiet it alot later last night. Only temp though.
My H is just horrific. I want to cry (and probably will at some point if it doesn't abate...
I can leave a google review, but yes a letter sounds good. Direct. More impact, since clearly my protest and explanation of T &H and subsequent risks of drills was not enough!
Thanks @glynis ! Also I would of rated kind as well! :)
&..oddly they have a high rating and great reviews (some...
Yesterday I went for a dental exam of which they decided to do a partial cleaning (bottom teeth) I specifically made clear I am sound sensitive, and also have tinnitus.
She said ok, some patients use headphones of which I didn't think would make much difference due to bone conduction.
Anyways...
It temporarily spiked my tinnitus twice. And I don't spike easily - so it was definitely the Flagyl.
Works great though and I took it for same reason as you and prior to that for a different bacterial infection.
Again, only a temporary spike.
Best!
I have crap speakers. I need new ones. My ears are being trashed watching TV, spinning records etc.
Is Bose the best? Is there a cheaper yet good alternative?
I have increased tinnitus. Reactive tinnitus. Some hyperacusis with pain, time to time.
Currently I am mainly using subtitles and...
No one can really answer your question. We really have no idea if it is safe or not.
First of all, how loud are these 'garage bands' ? How far back do you feel is far enough? and what earplugs will you be using and do you know how to properly insert them? (And take them out) if you don't check...
It may sound funny but really, I do write them. Currently working on a vamp satire film. Anyways, like I said, you can download apps and if you are a good enough writer- and let's face it, soap operas aren't english lit, anyone can do it! I just thought the idea was so great and I related. Kind...
I write scripts.
For that matter anyone can learn to write them and submit them.
Excellent idea. I've been toying with vlogging on and off for many years but this idea is actually better for bringing in an audience and thus, education/interest/money/research.
Btw The Corrie is awesome but...
I really miss going to movies. Haven't gone in soooo many years. One tip is I would of entered theatre after the trailers as they are known to be much louder than film...
Other than that, no clue. If I did, I'd be at the movies weekly. :(
You should be on the antibiotics. A week later and you still have fever?! That does not sound viral.
Anyways...
I fly alot.
Decongestant up to 48hrs before flight.
Vicks vapor rub on chest, around ears and near nasal passages.
Gum or halls to suck on and use for ascent / descent (especially)...
You are spot on actually, and I fully agree with you. I also, understand what it is to not be believed, supported, carelessly given meds or none at all. Mental health, no exception too. It seems, most docs don't give a damn.
How sad. Very sad indeed.
Fly High Danny Boy.
Just curious and NOT to diminish your post withdrawl symptoms, but do you think they are largely anxiety fueled?
I do believe in not-so-long a time, you will indeed recover just fine :)
Also look into all natural therapies. CBD oil or dried flowers helps me alot :) ( I also take klonopin for...
Sounds like you didn't withdrawl (taper) correctly...& if you only used it prn, but over a few months, that could be 10 + pills a month with a long half life as opposed to xanax (which is the real problem benzo) then yes, should of tapered.
Also what are your post withdrawl symptoms?
Look into Tensor Tympani Syndrome. It sounds like Hyeracusis, which is a sensitivity to sound / frequencies. The fact it went away after showering leads me to believe it could also be your e- tubes. See an ENT & Audiologist.
Anyways I have had these symptoms in the past, I believe from TMJD...
Ativan is a terrible benzo. Your doctor is pretty bad to precribe you @5mg a day. It is too short acting and has you going up and down like a roller coaster. It really is for panic attacks only while taking another benzo that steadily stays in your system; if taken properly. (Half morning/half...
