I'm Sorry, Everyone. I'm Not Weak and This Isn't Suicide, There Was No Other Way to Hear Silence.

There really is no other way. My ears can't recover, there's nothing I can do to stop the ringing in my ears. I can't enjoy life anymore. This world has become too noisy. My ears are too damaged. And no matter what I do, some unexpected noise can all of a sudden ruin everything. I wear earplugs...

I'm Sorry, Everyone. I'm Not Weak and This Isn't Suicide, There Was No Other Way to Hear Silence.

I'll keep this short. I've had tinnitus for 6 months. And hyperacusis. My tinnitus is very severe, I can hear it over everything. It's the loudest thing ever. There's no escape, and it just keeps getting worse. No matter what I do. I loved life, I had the most caring and loving girlfriend...

    Crackling Noise in Ears?

I have the same symptoms. I have allergies, chronic mucosal thickening in my paranasal sinuses, post nasal drip etc. The crackling sound comes from the Eustachian tubes because there is chronic inflammation and thick mucus and swelling. My ENT said that the sound comes from the Eustachian tubes...

A New Discovery — When I Block My Right Ear, It Generates a New Tinnitus Sound

I have a high pitched tinnitus in my both ears but when I wear earplugs I sometimes hear a very annoying morse code like beeping in my left ear, I don't usually hear it when I take off my earplugs. The sound isn't always there but when it is, it scares me. It disappeared for a month and it came...

How Does Stress Cause Tinnitus Spikes?

Agree. I've had pulsatile tinnitus for 2 years, had a head and neck MRI 2 times, they showed nothing unusual. But I have bad posture, rounded shoulders and forward neck, and slight disc desiccation. Started exercising and correcting my posture by strenghtening my back muscles and deep neck...

How Does Stress Cause Tinnitus Spikes?

It can cause temporary spikes, at least. I know someony who's T got louder after a flight. She has chronic eustachian tube problems and asthma so her sinuses and e tubes are always congested. The pressure changes make her ears hurt badly, dysfunctioning eustachian tubes can't equalize the...

Hearing Device That Makes You Deaf and Cuts Out the Tinnitus?

Yep.. That would be a living hell.. T is already a living nightmare... A good example of this is being exposed to loud noises while already suffering from severe tinnitus.. the more damage, the louder it gets.. so it's simple math that with zero auditory input the loudness would be pretty much...

Hearing Device That Makes You Deaf and Cuts Out the Tinnitus?

Usually deafness doesn't protect from tinnitus. Many deaf people have tinnitus too. And there are some unfortunate people who have requested that doctors make them deaf and some have even got their auditory nerve cut.. and the tinnitus remained and without any external sounds their t was the...

Hearing Device That Makes You Deaf and Cuts Out the Tinnitus?

I agree with this! Your tinnitus might not be caused by ETD alone, but it can make it louder. I have the opposite problem with my eustachian tubes, they are stuck in an open position (muscle problems and fat atrophy in my case). I can hear my own breathing in my ears, and every time I breathe my...

Tinnitus Gone for a Few Minutes?!

    WiFi and Tinnitus

About electromagnetic fields/energy... Some people get permanent tinnitus after having an MRI.. I know those things are quite loud, but I'm pretty damn sure that noise exposure alone isn't enough to explain this.. and the ears are always protected... My T got so much worse after an MRI and they...

Tinnitus Gone for a Few Minutes?!

I don't understand this at all! I've had constant high pitch unbearable tinnitus for 72 days... For the first time, it was gone for a few minutes! Tinnitus Loudness Depends on Head Position

Sounds like a vascular problem. I have terribly low blood pressure when lying down, 70/40, some kind of autonomic nervous dystem dysfunction and when that happens by heart has to compensate by elevating my heart rate, a lot... And that increases my tinnitus. Heart rate, blood pressure, physical...

How Does Stress Cause Tinnitus Spikes?

Agree.. Hearing tests can hurt your ears... I've had 2 tests since getting T, and the second test caused a spike along with a new tone (tea kettle sound in right ear)... Listening to those loud beeping sounds while wearing headphones - bad combination.

How Does Stress Cause Tinnitus Spikes?

@Smartone202 Flying can make tinnitus worse. The pressure changes are bad for damaged ears, and tinnitus always means some kind of ear damage. And airplanes are quite loud, cabin noise levels can easily be over 85 decibels.

Vibrating Bass Sound Is Causing Me to Have a Breakdown

I agree with RoeTaKa, might be some kind of hyperacusis towards low frequency sounds. And possibly some kind of vascular cause. Like I said, I also hear a basslike thumping, and am not sure if it's caused by my patulous eustachian tubes or ear spasms, can't really pinpoint the source.. I do...
