My tinnitus got worse not by microsuction but excessive ear irrigation by water. I don't think both procedures are the same but I just want to point out that if care is not given when doing something to the ear canal, even as common as ear wax removal by water or microsuction, can be catastrophic.

The kind of ups and downs remains the same but I would say the highest volume of my tinnitus during onset was around 8-9 out of 10. Now it’s a 6-7 at most. Also, I get roughly 10% good days in any given cycle in the past and now I get 40-70% good days now in a given cycle.

I have learned to manage my expectations properly with this condition after 3 years. Many times when you think things are improving, the next day this beast comes right back and hammers you to the ground. I think it is more realistic to do month to month comparison than day to day comparison...

Oh, the hissing started almost immediately after onset. I think what happens is when the ringing is bad, all different kinds of tinnitus fire at the same time. When it improves, the EEE sound disappears and only the hissing and the twitching is left.

I would still be careful especially this early on to be on the safe side, your ears are hurt and they do need time to heal.
