MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) Discussion & Experiences & Questions

Hi- I haven’t been here in a few months. I had an acoustic trauma last summer but over 3-4 months the tinnitus lowered in volume. I’ve been very careful with my hearing since then. I have been putting off a brain MRI for months due to noise concerns. My doctor actually ordered, brain...

Ongoing Tinnitus Spike After Months of Habituation — A Result of a Burn Out and Continued Stress?

I was also habituating and healing after months and then used a hair dryer for 15 minutes and am having the worst spike now for the last 4 days. I am also back into that cycle of anxiety and depression. So I completely know what you mean. I really hope it gets better for you with time.

Yes, I hear you Gordon. Mine is the same ultra-shrill tone. I agree, it is like it was specifically designed for torture. I am almost 8 weeks into this now. It has to improve for us somehow!!!

Noise-Induced Tinnitus, 5 Weeks In — I Feel Like My Life Is Over

So sorry @DaveyJones. I’m 5 weeks in and it the hissing/reactive tinnitus got worse at 4 weeks out and hasn’t subsided. I have multiple tones too. It is frustrating. If you still can’t hear it outside that is really good. I can hear it everywhere and it’s quite loud/intrusive :( Sooner or later...

How Do You "Measure" the Volume of Your Tinnitus?

Has Anyone Had Complete Resolution of Tinnitus Lasting Over 2 Weeks (Due to Acoustic Trauma?

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I had an acoustic trauma 36 days ago. I tried Prednisone on Day 5 but had an awful reaction to just 10 mg so I threw in the towel. Tinnitus never left and got louder Week 4. I am now at Week 5 and trying a very low dose of Prednisone (20 mg) which I’m...
