Advice for Tinnitus Caused by ETD (Eustachian Tube Dysfunction)?

I was recently diagnosed by an ENT with ETD and said there was nothing really he can do but wait till the Eustachian tube heals on its own. I’m unable to relieve the pressure in my ears properly and my sinuses are crazy congested all the time. My tinnitus disappears or at least becomes so...

given that my sinuses and ears are congested, he suspects allergies and has asked my doctor to perform an allergy test. It could very well be allergies. I live in a carpeted home and my girlfriend has had symptoms of allergies around the same time I got tinnitus (May 2020). She still has...

3 Months Into Tinnitus — Unknown Cause

Yeah some of them definitely have huge egos, I agree. The popping and clicking is still on going... but I when I got checked last I was told there’s fluid in my ears so hopefully after that clears the tinnitus will disappear with it.

Looking to Find Cause of Tinnitus: What Tests Should I Ask My Doctor/ ENT?

Thanks for your reply! But I have to disagree, I think it’s definitely worth trying to search for the cause of my tinnitus. Yes I’ll be focusing on it and thinking about it but I would also be thinking what if I found the cause and something can be done about it? Besides the tinnitus I have...

3 Months Into Tinnitus — Unknown Cause

Thanks, I’m definitely grateful that my tinnitus volume isn’t as loud as some describe... this itself is stressful at times and I can’t even imagine it being louder. Though I’ve been told to leave well enough alone and just count myself lucky and to just basically stop search for the cause of...

Yeah I don’t think it has cleared up yet... getting worried and annoyed but at least the volume of the ringing is not loud enough to disrupt my sleep.

3 Months Into Tinnitus — Unknown Cause

The other day I was sitting down watching tv and it's like my ears gave out for a second, the ringing didn't get any louder but it was an odd feeling that sort of scared me, It's as if someone put their palm over my right ear. Last doctor I saw 2 weeks ago confirmed I have a lot more fluid in...

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) Discussion & Experiences & Questions

I’m going in for an MRI soon (for my knee and hip) and I’ve heard that they are very loud. I’ve had tinnitus for about 3 months now and I’m just starting to get used to it and living my life normally again. I’m going to be provided with ear plugs and ear muffs but even then I’m quite...

Anyone Used Locacorten Vioform Ear Drops to Treat Fluid in Ears?

She mentioned I have fluid in my ears, I assume for quite some time now so I believe they’re inflamed. I was also prescribed a nasal spray, I’m okay with taking the spray but the ear drops I’m hesitant just because I don’t like anything in my ears.

Looking to Find Cause of Tinnitus: What Tests Should I Ask My Doctor/ ENT?

Hi guys, Coming in three months with tinnitus, I've noticed the volume decrease A LOT since then and rarely bothers me now as I only hear it when it's quiet before bed. Though the only thing that is bothersome is the feeling of fullness in my right ear, like it's clogged... my right nostril is...

New Tinnitus Only in One Ear: Could Noise-Cancelling In-Ear Headphones Have Caused It?

Hi Gina, I've read a lot of posts from other users who developed tinnitus from use of headphones, noise cancelling or other. Seems this could be the reason for yours, although I do recommend seeing an ENT since you describe that the ringing can be triggered from noise. I would advise you to keep...

3 Months Into Tinnitus — Unknown Cause

Hi all, I'm new here and currently 3 months in, I'm trying to cope and prepare myself for the possibility of having this for the rest of my life. Though I'm still optimistic I'll make a recovery. A little backstory - in the beginning of May I developed some a toothache/ear pain, I consulted a...
