That's exactly my thoughts.. I honestly doubt id be able to cope if my T was always that loud
However I do also wish it happened at specifc times so I could mentally prepare for it but obviously it's random so when it does happen its a huge shock and I lose concentration.
What causes fleeting tinnitus?
I've had fleeting tinnitus on and off for about 3-4 months and like most I just wait for it to pass as it only lasts about 30 seconds and occurs every few weeks anyway.
However today its occured several times and it's starting to worry me, but I'm not sure if...
Yeah spot on that's exactly what happens.. Like I'm watching TV and all of a sudden I'll just get a random increase in the tinnitus sound which at first obviously panicked me but now I just wait for it to pass and forget about it
Without going into huge detail.. Basically ive had mild Tinnitus for 9 months now as a result of noise exposure...
Anyway luckily I can safely say it doesn't really affect me and I can only notice it in quiet environments..
But for the past few months I get random spikes and the sound greatly...

Do you advise me wearing them to a club to hopefully not affect my T or do you think I should just stay away from the club altogether? Any advice is appreciated.
It's been a while since i last posted on here and gladly I can ive only ever had 2 minor spikes from flu or congestion in just over 9 months of T so that's gotta be a good thing :)
Anyway on to my question with a bit of a background story last week I was invited out to a pub with my friends...
My college recently had a 5 second fire alarm test the other day whilst i'm already in the midst of a T spike.. but luckily for me it didn't cause an increase in the sound it just startled me... A lot haha. Anyways, hope yours gets better soon :)
Started to experience my first major spike in my 5 months of having it yesterday so I now definitely understand.. Just hope it gets better for the boh of us soon :)
Thanks for the advice everyone :) I have just over a month to make the decision and to be honest I think i’d be a lot happier missing out on the concert and my t staying the same over going to the concert for a bit of fun and my t worsening, also from what i’ve read about the venue is that it is...
So about 5 1\2 months ago before my onset of Tinnitus from a stupidly loud concert I bought tickets for another concert coming up in about a months time and obviously i’d really love to go as they’re one of my favourite bands but of course I realise I have Tinnitus which I can just about...
I was playing Telltales the Walking Dead video game recently and the female protagonist (Clementine) shot her gun on a train and said ‘my ears feel fuzzy’ to which the main protagonist (Lee) replied ‘you’ll get used to it’… it strangely reassured me for some reason :)
Hi, as of last Sunday (24th August) after 3 1/2 months of mild tinnitus due to noise induced hearing loss I suddenly started to develop a feeling of super sensitivity to certain sounds and frequencies that normally I could have tolerated without any problems…
So I immediately ruled out Anxiety...
And I definitely have noticed a slight decrease in my hearing due to the fact I have asked my friends to repeat themselves a few times when they are speaking but other than that there is no noticable change to my hearing which I take as a good sign
I was in the exact situation you are in Enrique getting used to and accepting my T until a few days ago when I started to get a cold and my T has been off the scale since, i'm just hoping my T returns to the normal level and I can continue habituation.. Also it's great that you are becoming less...
Keep flicking the channel over to see how Rafa is getting on as i'm into Tennis myself as well as football of course watching Sport is the only thing that takes my mind off the Tinnitus at times.. I think Djokovic is out for revenge this year as he's looked on form but I wouldn't mind a Murray...
That's the thing with me, i've only had T for about 6 weeks and i'd say I was starting to get used to it and didn't notice it unless I plugged my ears and even then it was barely noticeable tben all of a sudden I developed a cold and my T went off the roof and it scared me a little as I wasn't...
I was just wondering whether or not my blocked sinuses can be causing an increase in my T levels? I don't know much about Tinnitus but this spike has lasted a few days and before the cold came along I was managing my T well. I was just wondering whether or not it's likely my T will return to a...
Hi everybody i'm Luke :) my T started last Saturday (10th May 2014) and although I haven't long and It's not really been annoying me, it is making me slightly paranoid that it will stay like it is forever (even though I already know it will most likely last for a long time) but I am in constant...
