penicillin is fine I took Biaxin (clarythromycin) for an ear infection 2 years ago and it increased my T. Avoid at all costs!!

My T was caused a first by anti-depressants and the increase by antibiotics. I'm happy to say that although it was very loud at first in both cases, I have habituated 99%. It never went away but it decreased at least.

My T is between 50 and 60 db. The pitch is low/medium, therefore, I can still mask it fairly easily but if I focus on it, even with masking, I still hear it. I live a normal life 98% of the time.

Hello!! Twice habituated here... once in 2007 at onset (cause: meds) and a second time to a new louder T (cause: meds). I think it was harder the second time actually and a bit longer... As of today, I am 98% habituated to this new louder and more annoying T. Life is good :)

I do not check my T every morning anymore neither do I plug my ears. I know it's there and I try to live as normally as possible.

I don't think these are your hormones. Most likely, your sinuses don't help. It could very well go down after the swelling / infection has been reduced. But keep in mind that maybe it will no go down and it may be permanent. Always be prepared. As for an increased, in 2007-2014, my T NEVER...

I'm sorry to say but... why do you let T decide whether or not it will be a good day? It can still be a good day even if your T is loud! Monitoring your T and giving it that much power over your life will not help you habituate. I would hang on to the thought that good days will come back...

I think Clonazepam is ATIVAN right? I took ATIVAN while having T and it did reduce it temporarily.

I ended up going :) No impact on my T. Had earplugs on the whole time and earmuffs, just in case.

I almost never mask unless I need to concentrate when I study. I am at peace with my T and the sound doesn't bother me like it used to.

hi! I use public transport (bus) and I measured the db level which was around 80db. Some days, it bothers me more, either because the bus is older and makes more noiseor because people talk very loud. When I feel slight discomfort, I just put in my plugs.
