    Intermittent Fasting for Tinnitus Relief

I have been on Keto diet since Sept 1, 2017 with IF (intermittent fasting) and have lost 30 pounds and never felt better. However, my T which is a constant 10.5Khz is unchanged.

Very Frightening — In a Vicious Circle of Anxiety and Tinnitus

@DebS, that was an awesome post! Very sage advice. That is exactly what I do when I start to focus on my T and it never fails to work for me.

Acoustic CR® Neuromodulation: Do It Yourself Guide

@sunmoon - The step by step instructions for recording an audio stream from a web site (e.g. generalfuzz) is included in the link I referenced in the sub section 'Internal Audio'. Again, here is the link...

New Drug (Furosemide) Could Cure Tinnitus, Say Scientists

Interesting. Furosemide is listed as a drug that can cause T in the link below: http://www.health.harvard.edu/newsletters/Harvard_Womens_Health_Watch/2011/September/tinnitus-ringing-in-the-ears-and-what-to-do-about-it

Acoustic CR® Neuromodulation: Do It Yourself Guide

@sunmoon - What's the sound of TRT like a noise white? AFAIK, there is no 'standard' sound therapy component for TRT. Some use white noise, notched white noise, fractal, etc. There is here someone that could help me to create by myself the ACRN with audacity? Who could create a guide step by...

Acoustic CR® Neuromodulation: Do It Yourself Guide

@sunmoon - I don't have a Skype account. Are you trying to drag and drop this file into the applications>audacity>plug-ins folder onto a local mac or a remote mac? There should be no folder restrictions on the plug-ins folder that would prevent you from moving a file into this folder provided...

Acoustic CR® Neuromodulation: Do It Yourself Guide

@sunmoon - Yes, I have a Mac. You should be able to simply paste the bandstop.ny file into the folder below. I had no issues on my Mac. Remember that you need to unzip the file first. You do not need to use headphones on the generalfuzz.net site. I sometimes use them and other times I just...

Acoustic CR® Neuromodulation: Do It Yourself Guide

Hi @sunmoon. Just a suggestion going forward on the forums - if you use tagging (e.g. @earflappin, etc.) when asking a member a question it will be flagged so we see it on the login bar making it easier and faster for us to respond. earflappin what do you think it's better ACRN or Notch for...

Acoustic CR® Neuromodulation: Do It Yourself Guide

@enro - Notch and ACRN are two audio-based treatments for T. Audacity will be useful for creating a Notch file(s). Please see this link for instructions - http://www.notchtherapy.com/step-1.html. You might have to go looking for the stop band pass filter plug-in. A link for that can be found...

Hey, this Ultra Quiet thread is pretty quiet...:-). @Steve, did you get a chance to do any further experimentation this past weekend by chance? Many thanks.

    Scam? Phase-Out Mobile App

I'm curious...are there any mobile apps that fellow T suffers can recommend that package up any/all of the prevailing therapies such as ACRN, notch, etc?

Instead of using a one octave stop band width....use a fractional one. Here is a plot of a center frequency of 11.5khz with a 0.25 octave stop band width.

    UltraQuiet Therapy

@RoyZ, you are welcome! Glad you were able to find the plug-in. The latest version of Audacity does not include it as a default for some reason. Did you use Analyze/Plot Spectrum to verify proper stop band set up? Using it has not caused my T to spike. I generally have the volume set so...

    UltraQuiet Therapy

I use a band-stop filter with a center frequency equal to my T frequency and a stop band width of 1 octave. Here is a site with the technique: http://www.notchtherapy.com/step-1.html

Just as a refresher, what is the science that led the UltraQuiet team to conclude that bone conduction was a better delivery vehicle than normal headphones?

Thanks @SteveH and @ Frederick86. My T frequency is 11.5khz. I will await further feedback from @SteveH before taking any next steps. In the mean time I am doing 1 octave notched white noise therapy 3 hours per day.

    UltraQuiet Therapy

Hi Salt, I'm in the audio business and I can tell you that no, you would not need 24/96khz or 24/192khz for our application. Good old CD Redbook at 16bit/44.1khz would be more than sufficient to cover 0-20,000 hz. I doubt you would even need lossless uncompressed tiff/wav/flac format either...

The aftershokz reviews are pretty much what I would have expected...they work, but you don't get excellent full spectrum audio performance. Fortunately for our application, this is not a deal breaker IMO. Frankly, given the commercial availability of these units at such reasonable price...
