I've had similar issues as well. Thumping in my left ear started January 2021 and still continuing into May 2021. I did see an ENT and he wanted to do an MRI to cross it off his list but due insurance issues, i held off. I also get the sharp clinking sounds that almost hurt to hear them...

I am having the ear fluttering where a burp, sharp noise or talking on the phone activate it. It's not all the time but it is everyday. I went to an ENT and he didn't know so he signed me up for an allergy test, hearing test and an MRI of my brain and inner ear. I don't think I need an MRI but...
