Anyone familiar with FEMTOSECOND laser?
Very Interesting.
"The vitreous humor is homogenised with the femtosecond laser and the eye floaters are pulverised by this method. This physical interaction will liquefy the vitreous humor which will be similar to a posterior vitreous detachment (PVD)...
The acoustic thing will not work for everyone, I no longer suffer from T as my case was just my nervous system freaking out. I now only get "baseline" T which is sometimes audible (not loud) at night but it doesn't bother me.

I found this link, it's a clip from an Australian talk show, it talks about the new laser for vitreous floaters:

I don't know what the procedure is.
That message should appear at the start of both clips and for some reason am not seeing it when I play the YouTube clips on this thread...
But when I watch them via YouTube they appear.
You should see this:
At the start of the 2 clips below a message will display:
"(UPDATE) I no longer have Tinnitus. I had an experimental procedure performed in India last year. I will leave this video up for those who may still be suffering. If you'd like to go to my new channel. Click here."

I also hear my Tinnitus if am not well rested and after I've had a restless sleep due to a series of weird/bad dreams.
I once woke up after a bad dream and my left ear rang loudly but I was so tired I quickly ignored it and went back to sleep, I get this now and again.
Then when I wake up...
I only became aware of my T in June this year, it flared up due to anxiety and prolonged for a month cause I was convinced I had hearing damage from a night out, but after the doctor sent me to an audiologist for a hearing test they did reassure me that sometimes T can be an anxiety symptom...
As sad as it is...there is a business with Tinnitus:
Anti-depressant meds
Sleeping meds
Hearing aids
ENT
Audiology
Tinnitus maskers
Counsellors
Non-T sufferers aren't very cost effective.
I think the reason why there is a lack of awareness is because of the fear of financial turmoil.
What I mean is, if a shocking advert was put on TV about Tinnitus and how you can develop it if you don't start protecting your ears, it would just scare people into not attending concerts...
As the key to habituation is to give Tinnitus less importance, I think by referring to it as "the thing" rather than "my T" will help the brain give it less attention.
Just my little tip :)
Hi,
this will be my last post on this forum.
My T is under control and I have been waking up to silence after getting a good sleep and the T is nothing but a slight "hiss" sound in my left ear during the day. So my case is defo an anxiety case.
It occurred to me recently that earlier this...
UPDATE:
Back from the Audiologist, I have no hearing loss.
But they are referring me to an ENT Specialist for further testing, this is in regards to the weird vibrations am getting.
My T must be induced by emotional stress.
A few hours ago before heading to the audiologist I had a minor...
My T is only present when there are other sounds present, it has become quite reactive but overall improved, I think I may lose the T in time so I've started plugging my left ear.
In the past month since it started I have had some "silent" gaps.
My T is probably related to stress cause I can...
Thanks :)
My condition has improved and the vibrations only started when the Tinnitus was at it's peak.
The vibrations were internal, you couldn't see them, it wasn't like a tremor or twitching.
It's likely that my anxiety reached extremely high levels and became too aware of the sensations...
Thanks, I think ah'll be ok in time.
Am just listening to the Acoustic Neuromodulator with my iPod through my left ear.
I've read anxiety can make the condition worse so am just gonna get into shape again cause I've been meaning to for a while and it is the root of my anxiety anyway. I wonder...
Woke up this morning with a slight T sound, fell asleep again and then woke up to SILENCE.
I had silence for a good while then the T started again once I had put the kettle on but it was only noticeable, not unbearably loud. I just want to get accustomed to normal sounds again.
My case is...
Tender and achy face is gone.
Started jogging this week for the first time in a while.
I was prepared for my T to flare up and it did but it settled after I finished my routine.
Jogged again tonight and it flared up but it wasn't as "aggressive"...it went from an annoying buzz on the left...
UPDATE:
Tinnitus is now on my left side (not in my ear) as a "sensation" and sounds fuzzy which is quite tolerable but now my left side feels a bit achy and tender, this only came on yesterday.
Hearing is still the same.
Vibrations have decreased significantly.
Anyone know what this may be...
Woke up again with no T sound, last night I was able to tolerate it before sleeping, it wasn't as irritating as before so I think it may be disappearing. I've only been able to sleep with the help of Remeron.
The T sound seems to catch up with me during the day but am starting to wonder if it...
UPDATE: Woke up this morning with no T sound, now hours later after being exposed to the traffic, church bell and running the bath I only now have a very faint fluctuating buzz in my left ear, dunno if that's just natural tinntus...
Vibrations have calmed down significantly also.
I've got a doctor's appointment on Friday, am hoping they give me some kind of anti-convulsant.
I woke up a few times this morning, 1st time there was NO t sound, then nodded off, then when I woke up again I felt a t "sensation", not a noise.
At the moment I feel the vibrations have slightly...
