A Year of Reactive Tinnitus and Severe Hyperacusis

I think it is high time you faced legal consequences for your dangerous advice that has ruined numerous lives so far. Also, the misinformation you spread across Tinnitus Talk and Facebook groups should be punishable by law and you must take responsibility for your own words.

Please take all precautions, because I assure you that those ear issues have no limit, and this is a difficult perception to grasp. Even mild/moderate H and T folks don't understand it, so I would be really weary of taking advice from people around here.

Hi @Andrew40 , unfortunately I am progressively getting worse. But don't let this bring you down. I am just one of the worst cases out there. Good thing is people like me are not that many. My tinnitus is super reactive and spikes when I simply scratch my head or take a breath. It has 20+ tones.

Hyperacusis (with Pain) Worsened After Exposed to Elevator Alarm

I agree, anxiety plays a part. What you should do though is just protect your hearing for a while, do not expose yourself to loud noises that seem uncomfortable. Right now your ears are more vulnerable than usual and they need a rest. Hopefully this is just a setback that will subside with time...
