Tinnitus After Loud Concert: It's Been 8 Weeks, and I'm Noticing Some Improvements

Here's my story from about where you are at currently: 2 Months Later, My Tinnitus Is Nearly Gone I am like well over a year with this thing and I am pretty much fine. I do everything I did before and use hearing protection when needed. Hang in there and keep an optimistic attitude. I think...

2 Months Later, My Tinnitus Is Nearly Gone

Well, it is a chronic condition, right. I do not imagine it getting any better than a 1-2 on the annoyance scale. The "2" is only when it spikes for a couple of seconds randomly, which will occur a couple of times a week. Anyways, odds are my left ear will be ringing till death do us part.

2 Months Later, My Tinnitus Is Nearly Gone

I'm not sure about the brand. I got custom molded earplugs with musician's filters which are like ~25 dB from my audiologist after getting a hearing test completed a year ago at Jefferson hospital in Philly. It cost me $120 dollars. They are super-low profile and comfortable. I've worn them for...

Yea I am totally good, living a regular life these days. I saw a Phish concert in Saratoga Springs this past Saturday. I was inside the pavilion. I wore my custom molded earplugs for 90% of the show and I am doing well. My tinnitus is akin to normal background noise that does not bother me 98%...

Is Going to a Beyonce Concert with Tinnitus Safe or Stupid?

Perhaps, but I've had conductive hearing loss since I was a teenager (I am 30 now). The deafness in my left ear, which is the one that rings, is not related to inner ear issues. Bone conductive testing proves that I can hear those high frequencies you are talking about. That said, all of this is...

Is Going to a Beyonce Concert with Tinnitus Safe or Stupid?

My annual hearing tests prove I have not experienced any hearing loss in the past three years, yet I developed tinnitus two years ago. There is a randomness to this condition. YESSSSS! I saw them at the Mann and followed 'em up to NYC! I'll be at SPAC in two weeks!

Cycling Tinnitus with Good and Bad (Severe Reactive Tinnitus) Days — What's My Outlook Like?

This is probably the best answer to any questions people have on this forum. Anyways, I cycle with headband covering my ears to cut out the wind noise. I do not use earplugs or listen to music via headphones. To each their own.

Is Going to a Beyonce Concert with Tinnitus Safe or Stupid?

I have been to dozens of concerts with tinnitus. Wear earplugs and you'll be fine, but then again this condition is very subjective to the individual. I thought I'd never be able to go to a concert again when I got my tinnitus last May 2022, but I was wrong. I just hit 7-ish concerts at Madison...

One Rock Festival Changed My Life by Giving Me Tinnitus

I take Cymbalta. No, I do not. I am habituated. I only notice my tinnitus when it's totally quiet or when I am on this website/talking about it. When it started a year ago, it was a 6-7/10 volume. Now it's a 1-2. I went to a rock concert this past Friday. Going to another this Thursday.

One Rock Festival Changed My Life by Giving Me Tinnitus

Completely fine in regard to the never-ending ringing in my left ear, but like someone else stated, everyone's experience with tinnitus is subjective. I still take a low dose of medication and I carry custom molded earplugs along with solid foam ones in a small bag with me everywhere I go. I...

One Rock Festival Changed My Life by Giving Me Tinnitus

Oh man, I thought this way too when I got hit with chronic tinnitus after a show last May, but never say never. Please see my story. It took me about half a year to habituate. My onset was May 27th, 2022. Since October 2022, I've been to a dozen shows without incident and plan on hitting over...

Hurt My Hearing After Using Air Hammer without Hearing Protection, Followed by Tinnitus

Hey, I empathize with your situation because my tinnitus is also noise induced (concert) and I have a similar hearing loss as you (-70 dB in left ear). Hello friends, I am back with another update. It's been over 6 months with tinnitus and I have "habituated" to it. My onset was May 27th, 2022. It no longer bothers me daily and I have since met so many others in my life that share our condition. I have temporary spikes that can be deafening...

I hear you for sure about the benzos, but I struggle with serious intermittent sleeping issues. Update. Nearly 6 Months since onset. Tinnitus does not bother me anymore. It's background noise more or less at this point. I have not experienced any spikes in the last month. I went to a World Series Phillies baseball game the other day, I wore earplugs, and was completely fine despite it...

2 Months Later, My Tinnitus Is Nearly Gone

Update. Over 100+ days with tinnitus. My baseline has consistently settled at around a 2/10, 90% of the time. It only gets louder at night and when I experience some stress. I am a teacher so those spikes come a few times a week while at work. Noise sensitivity in my right ear is still an...

Yes, that is an accurate summary and the left ear only started ringing on the evening on May 27th this year. The conductive hearing loss has been around for 10+ years. I went to a Khruangbin concert in Portland, Maine two nights ago and did not experience a spike. I wore a foam plug in my left tinnitus ear and a custom musician plug in the right ear. Yea like what gives. I’ve read a number of us only started to notice our floaters after tinnitus onset. Tried researching an explanation for the correlation, but found nothing so far. Hey, I got noise induced tinnitus exactly two months ago from a very loud concert. My tinnitus was moderate following the show and stayed that way for the first 5 weeks. Tinnitus for 1 Month After Listening to Loud Music — Other Symptoms: Ear Pain and Crackling Ears

Go to an audiologist and get a proper hearing examination. This is definitely step one. Also, an ENT doctor would probably be able to confirm if your tinnitus is due to noise induced hearing loss.

Musical Ear Syndrome (Musical Tinnitus) Following a Car Trip (Wore Earplugs and Earmuffs)

Update - 15 days following onset: Today was mostly a good day in regard to my tinnitus. I think a good night's sleep was the main cause for why my tinnitus was lower for most of the day. I've had conductive hearing loss in my left ear for over a decade (I haven't been able to hear normal conversations in my left ear for example), but never got a hearing test done to confirm it until I experienced my tinnitus onset after attending a loud concert on May 27th, 2022. As of now...
