From 0 to Debilitating Tinnitus in 2 Months

Thank you. I am fine except of my reactive tinnitus :) Well, I will never take Prednisolone again. I‘ve learned my lesson. I don’t even know if these pills are really going to help people with hearing loss or maybe it’s just time which is the magic pill for some people. And thanks a lot for...

Do you think that Prednisone can cause permanent damage? I didn’t taper slowly enough and have developed a morse code tinnitus which reacts to everything.

@blamingeverything This gives me hope. Did your Morse Code tinnitus react to sounds as well? Because mine is reacting to every sound at the moment (especially fan etc.).

Tinnitus After Going to a Loud Club / COVID-19 Infection

My tinnitus is the same. No changes but I developed morse code tinnitus which really reacts to every sound. When I was on Prednisolone it was not so bad. I‘ll definitely try Turmeric. What do you think about Carbamazepine? I don’t want to take it because of its side effects. I have hearing loss...

Approaches in Dealing with Typewriter Tinnitus in the UK?

What kind of surgery did you do? And how long have you had typewriter tinnitus? I don't want to try Carbamazepine because of the side effects and my doctor here in Germany wouldn't prescribe me it.

Tinnitus After Going to a Loud Club / COVID-19 Infection

Hi, I have had tinnitus and hearing loss in the high frequencies for 7 weeks now. Tinnitus doesn't bother me at all. It's an electrical buzzing and not so loud so it doesn't affect my sleep. The main problem is the sound distortion and reactive tinnitus (or diplacusis). There is a beep riding...

New to Reactive Tinnitus and Sound Distortions — Most Likely Caused by Constant Headphone Usage

I have the same problem since 6 weeks now. As you said, the high sound comes along with shower, fan and as weird as it sounds, with movements (of the body). You have to see an ENT as soon as possible. He can give you an audiogram to see if you have hearing loss or not. Is your tinnitus...

On My Way to Recovery from Tinnitus and Hyperacusis

Well even if you have hearing loss, your tinnitus can subside! I had a talk today with an audiologist. She had hearing loss (high frequencies) probably because of stress and she said to me that it took a long time to recover (1-2 years) but now she is tinnitus free and her hearing tests are...

Sudden SNHL + Tinnitus and Dysacusis

@Matchbox, yes, it's just my right ear. Doctor prescribed me penicillin because I had an infection but this didn't help with the tinnitus or the distortions. I don't know if they would prescribe me antivirals because I have cardiomyopathy and the doctors here in Germany are always careful...

Thank you! I have tinnitus + hearing loss since 6 weeks now. The problem is that I had so many audiograms tested by different ENTS and always had different results. For example in one of my audigrams I have 35db loss 6HZ and in another audiogram I have 15db loss in 6HZ and 35db in 4HZ.
