3-Month Tinnitus Anniversary After a Loud Concert

I will be coming up a year on the 7th from noise-induced damage in the left ear. Though I think about it multiple times a day, I don’t have an anxious reaction to it. It can be slightly annoying, but it is what it is.

A Year of Reactive Tinnitus and Severe Hyperacusis

All I see is people stating their thoughts and ideas about certain things. I only see @Michael Leigh trying to help people and weed out the bulls**t and false hope, which prays on vulnerable people wanting help. The best treatment at this point in time is acceptance and avoiding further noise...

Mines most likely shooting without earpro related. If you can try not to obsess over it and give yourself time. The initial anxiety is the worst part. Evenutally when you can put it into the background it just becomes a sometimes annoyance.

Same here mate I had to stop at first for around 6 months because I was hyper focusing on it. But now smoking again I have been able to mostly push it into the back ground and not give it any attention. Biiiiiig change

Moderate Hearing Loss, Tinnitus and Hyperacusis from Shooting Guns (AR-15, AK-47, Shotgun, Pistol)

Hey mate, my tinnitus is from firearms as well, I’m pretty sure. I’m 4 months in now and I’m not sure I have had much change. But the crazy anxiety you are feeling now sure fades away as you come to accept it. Just need to give it time and, if you are lucky, it can improve.

Evidence of Cochlear Neural Degeneration in Normal-Hearing Subjects with Tinnitus

I have kind of thought about this myself. It would be good for anyone else who has had reactivity and recovered from it to chime in; did the tinnitus sort of stabilize as well when the reactivity did? I fully get what you mean about the phone charger description. Sometimes it feels like a...

My New Reactive Tinnitus Is Making Me Miserable — I Hear Whistling on Top of Every Other Sound

Yeah, I’m the same, mornings are the best for me, I can almost get some peace luckily. And yes, it’s hard to mask when it’s reacting to sounds, huh. Being outside is the closest thing to masking for me.

My New Reactive Tinnitus Is Making Me Miserable — I Hear Whistling on Top of Every Other Sound

I have exactly this. If I run a fan at night, my tinnitus is much louder than if I didn’t run the fan. Has your reactivity gone down at all? If that could fade, I would be chilling with my baseline.

How Do You Describe the Degrees of Tinnitus Severity, on a Scale of 0 to 10?

I don’t feel my tinnitus changes much in volume. Just maybe perception of it if I concentrate on it more or let it bother me. It’s constant but a pulsing chirping/cricket sort of sound. Actually, I guess it does change in volume slightly, but only because when louder noises happen, it seems to...

Did Cannabis or Loud Music Through Headphones Cause My Tinnitus?

Are you guys sure the cannabis is making your tinnitus worse or are you just zoning in? With time, as you accept the noise and it becomes less bothersome, it might change: I have a mate who has had tinnitus for a long time and you can’t keep him away from cannabis. I’m hoping I can get to that...

Wisdom Tooth Removal with Laser Drill to Reduce Risk of Making Tinnitus Worse?

When my wisdom teeth were removed, they didn’t use a drill? Just a local anesthetic and then grips to grab the tooth and ripped it out.

Tinnitus for 1.5 Months After Music Festival — The Most Horrible Ailment I've Ever Suffered

@Blackbird1016, how are you going now? Do you think you have improved over the last year, like the actual volume of it? Or do you think you have just managed to cope better? Cheers.

Hyperacusis → Muffled Hearing → Distorted Hearing

Hey mate, sorry, I’m about the same amount of time in, 8 weeks from gunshot trauma tinnitus. Did your tinnitus subside as well when taking the Prednisone? It didn't seem to do anything for my tinnitus.
