Wisdom Tooth Removal with Laser Drill to Reduce Risk of Making Tinnitus Worse?

I've been having pain with my wisdom teeth which are impacted (the bottom ones need drilling to remove) but I would not like to risk the possible worsening from a noisy drill removal as nothing is worth risking worsening my tinnitus for me.

I was reading posts on here made by people having the same issue and it was mentioned that laser drills may be an option but every dentist I've asked have said they don't use laser drill and didn't know anyone who did.

Could anyone point me into the right direction?

When my wisdom teeth were removed, they didn't use a drill? Just a local anesthetic and then grips to grab the tooth and ripped it out.

You could ask for general anesthesia, then you won't hear a thing.

My understanding is that your hearing still functions while under general anesthesia; the primary auditory cortex remains receptive and reactive to auditory stimuli even during deep sedation.

In the case that you can't get the laser and have to go the regular route... I was extremely nervous to get my wisdom teeth out since I did it so late (I think I was 26.) and they had to saw bone and whatnot because it was already fused to my jaw, but somehow it did not change my tinnitus... Coming off the anesthesia was actually the first time I "heard" silence, or didn't hear my tinnitus. It was crazy. I know it's all individual though. I just hope it works out for you.

Maybe I'll start scheduling random surgeries just to have a vacation from the clown noises.
