Just relax and take 5 6 times deep breaths read a book or may be watch tv keep it on sleep mode or use ur phone to listen to some nature sounds at safe volume .... Take melatonin if u have .. Don't think of it as a Devil... Just try to RELAX! Try to be calm always take good care of your health...

It does happen. You will be fine as soon as your cold goes away which will take some time. Don't panic its okay to have a spike in cold. Just do some steam inhalation if your nose is blocked and see a doc to help you out more. You will be fine trust me. Afeef

Your case is somewhat similar to me. Don't know why does it spike without any sound exposure or doing any other stuff that can aggravate it but then it is a symptom of something wrong with our ears but we can not let it controll our lives we just need to hang in there for something good to come...
