Help Me with My Ear Mystery: Woke Up to Raging Tinnitus, Hyperacusis and Hearing Loss

I’ve been through the whole gamut of doctors, ENTs, CAT scans, etc. No one gives a damn. Finally, I purchased some very expensive hearing aids with Bluetooth. They “erased” the tinnitus in a way because I listen to music or YouTube or whatever to distract myself from the obnoxious tinnitus...

Help Me with My Ear Mystery: Woke Up to Raging Tinnitus, Hyperacusis and Hearing Loss

I had the exact same scenario happen to me. Went to bed. Woke up at 3 am with raging tinnitus. Right side worse. Freaked me out so bad I didn’t work for year and half. That was 6 years ago. Noone knows why. Noone cares. I still have it. It’s more pulsatile tinnitus really. It has a pattern to...

I’ve had tinnitus since 2016. My journey has significantly improved since then! Mostly now it just sounds like air pressure which changes intensity all the time. Sometimes it’s very unnoticeable but I will admit that severe stress can make it much more intense. Getting hearing aids was a...

It’s ok to feel that way. I did at first, five years ago. Now I have a constant sizzling, air pressure sound that can get louder or quiet down. My PT and T has a pattern. I know it’s all about blood flow intensity and my body position. I am 66 and I can also hear my blood flow, like water in...

Shower Causing a Temporary Tinnitus Spike?

I don’t need a cold shower. Certain foods spike my t, pressure on my face does also. I’m 66 so I think it’s blood flow. Drinking lots of water helps me. My t has a personality all its own. I understand its moods. But your suggestion is a good one.

Shower Causing a Temporary Tinnitus Spike?

My tinnitus/pulsatile tinnitus always spikes after a shower for about 10 minutes. My theory is the hot water makes blood flow faster, making the sound louder. Pulsatile Tinnitus Goes Away When I Press on My Neck

I have T and PT. When I press my neck, when the clicking sound is happening, as opposed to PT sound, it increases the sound as I press. My PT is always loudest when I sit too long, lay down in bed or after getting out of a hot shower. Stretching my back while sitting causes PT temporarily to be...

If I wake up in the morning and lay in bed for a while, I always hear either a sizzling sound, slight heartbeat in ear or a watery sound as if I am listening to a brook. Or, it could sound like air being released under pressure. This is usually always in my right ear going on a year now...

Mine is always louder when I am sitting on the couch. I have been diagnosed with PT. When I am standing it goes away. But I also get the heartbeat sound too. I think it has to do with blood flow, or arteries and kinked veins. If blood is not flowing smooth there is turbulence which makes the...
