After I shared it on Facebook 5 friends signed the petition. 3 of those have T but I don't know how active they are in the T community. Also today in the UK the Daily Mail which is a large circulation newspaper has several letters on the letters page re Tinnitus Eltel

Thanks , I too had them around the neck and on the temple by the ear ..Also some on my hands . National Health Service Physio who also knows Acupuncture but not really in relation to ear issues unfortunately. Thanks Eltel

I tried Acupuncture but did not help me . I had needles for a knee injury and it worked for that but sadly not for the Tinnitus. I wonder where the needles were put in this case

Just started the application process but I failed as not a Resident . If I had hope it had a chance of Success I would have flown there the 5 times required

I have tried it and not a great deal to report although I felt very relaxed .Glad I tried it and sure it can help some depending on the cause Eltel

New medicine ? .Something will arrive to help at somepoint ..I hope !

Mine is a hummy buzz ,not overly loud most of the time but essentially unmaskable due to my brain focusing on it .Started July 2014 ,reaction generally better but a long way too go but this post proves relief can and will happen !

I have spoken to two people who said that Cranial Sacrial Therapy helped them ,one had been in a car accident so I could understand how it might help her . I just called the lady the 2 nd person recommended and awaiting her reply .Not sure what to make of it myself .I have tried Hypotheraphy...

Like I have previously mentioned I know around 50 people with T , none of them go on any support sites . Being a postman I meet and talk to many people and its quite surprising the volume of people with it . This possible development is not good but progress is inevitable ,just wish it was...

Nobody can say with any certainty there will never be a cure for any illness ,disease or ailment . Progress in all medicine and procedures are always being made . In yrs to come people will laugh about the problems of 21st Century people

The hospital I spoke to about the trial said when I asked " with what you know so far will there be a Phase 3 " the reply was yes

I too wonder what it would be like , the best time I get is early in the morning when my T is often pretty quiet but too have that all the time would be fantastic .Doubt it would take long to get used to it

I was told that there is a high failure rate to get on the trial when I spoke to the hospital , also the trial will be open to the end of the yr .

At 4-30 am two days ago my right ear almost silent and yet a few hrs before it had been noisy ,this suggests to me that it's not broken just needs fixing somehow .

I have not read all this thread but I know about 50 people with T , an annoyance for all but no one says they suffer . I am a postman and out of 600 people of voting age I know 32 with T on my round .I have not asked everyone just those that I chat too regularly , no one says its got worse for them

As Danny Boy mentions there are procedures for early release of drugs so lets be positive please all

I too find with the earplugs the T is so much louder so some days I ride without plugs but keep under 60 mph so the wind is not so noisy

Well I just cycled 30 miles and buzzing away . On my 650 motorbike I usually use earplugs unless I plan on taking it easy and ride no more than 60 mph .Any quicker the plugs are a must but they make the T seem much worse at low speeds

I have cycled for 34 yrs ,over 700 races .Raced recently and the T stayed the same after the event ,speeds up to 35 mph but averaging 25 . T mainly in right ear so doubt wind noise the cause

I listen on headphones most days but only around half volume

I can hear mine whilst driving with a radio on and window open ,if I stop and turn everything off my T is much quieter and I think how can I possibly hear it whilst driving .Same happens mowing the lawn with a petrol mower (with ear defenders ) .Strange and annoying

I have spoken to many people with T and since I have mentioned it they have noticed there own noises more ,must be something in focusing of the brain .

It might be possible to reduce dosage or have a wk on / off to maintain a reduced volume . If someone said you may cause other damage 10/15 yrs later I would take a pill to get my life back now . New drugs in the meantime may be even better or I will habituate first and not even worry about it
