Update on My Cure! Please Read. It Might Help Someone.

I would like to add that my T sound was NOT pulsatile nor did it seem to be in time with my heart beat. I thought it was inner ear related because the T was only in my left ear and lying on that ear made it worse but lying on my right side could quiet it down and sometimes stop it. So I had no...

Very Confused with All the Different Advice and Success Stories

An MRI is not a waste of time if the cause of your tinnitus is something like a tumour which can and does happen. One hundred people could have T and every one of them could have a different cause from a tight neck or ear damage to a brain tumour. So you will get overwhelmed with advice...

Driving While One Window Down Caused a Spike

Possibly the trigmenal nerves in your face were affected by the wind and they can cause many problems. If I stroked the side of my face it would make my ears buzz! Because those nerves which run through the centre of your brain come through the ear and jaw and into your face and branch out to...

    Intermittent Tinnitus

Update on My Cure! Please Read. It Might Help Someone.

I just want to update my condition in case it might be of help to someone out there experiencing similar symptoms. Some years ago I was on this site as I had seven long years of daily intermittent tinnitus like a “tink” sound or sometimes fast like a Geiger counter but it would make my eyes...

    Cardiac Cause of Tinnitus

Hi everyone. I have been absent for some years from this site. I thought my tinnitus was cured with a TMJ splint. It did go away almost a whole year and although it returned (my tinnitus has been sporadic never constant) it wasn’t as frequent or as disabling (my tinnitus affects my vision and...

Seems a Miracle Cure (TMJ Splint)

I'm still improving every day but if I improved no more than this I'm still over the moon. Barely hear the click any longer and when I do my vision is often unaffected at all and the noise is so quiet. When it does shake my vision it's only mildly and it doesn't bother me.

Seems a Miracle Cure (TMJ Splint)

Both ears I think but right ear doesn't bother me. Quiet and I would never notice it unless I listen carefully. Left ear has loud click, also humming and hiss. The click is bothersome as it shakes my vision around. I wear the splint all night and all day. I saw the top TMJ guy in this part...

Seems a Miracle Cure (TMJ Splint)

seven years of shaking vision and loud noise in my ear driving me insane and only three months after getting my TMJ splint this hell is almost completely gone. I'm not saying everyone with T needs a TMJ splint. Obviously T is caused by many different things. But I must say I'm one of the...

sorry. That's a very disheartening way to be treated when you are really suffering. Sadly some people are not capable of understanding. You cannot help her. Perhaps one day she might learn. I feel bad for you that this has happened.

If Your Tinnitus Lost Its Intensity by 80 Percent, Would You Habituate Faster?

I'm sure it makes a difference. Some people seem bothered by very quiet T that they say they only hear when in a totally quiet room. For those people I think T itself is not really the problem.

Is My Tinnitus Temporary or Permanent?

Anything is "normal" with tinnitus! Try not to panic. It's pretty useless saying it. Do not go online and read all the scary stuff or it will just make you petrified! It's very early days so high chance your T will go away. You need a good ear doc that you feel you can trust because you...

It Wasn't TMJ, It Was Just a Misaligned Jaw!

It pops and cracks because the spongy cartilage that sits in the ball and socket of your jaw joint has come out and is snapping in and out of the joint when you open and close your mouth. See a good specialist. Don't do anything about your current braces etc until you have threeD surround X-ray of your head. Maxilo facial surgeon or specialist would be the best bet. Get them to check you out first and if it is the braces they'll advise you what to do or if a splint is needed.
