@Jiri did you use gentamicin or ciprofloxacin? It looks like over the last 20 years, FDA reports of tinnitus with Cipro are around 105 patients or around 2 percent of the drug's side effect claims. That's 2 percent of side effect reports, not 2 prevent of all patients who received it.

Also, if you look at the data you can see additional medications or health conditions that may have contributed to causing the tinnitus. For example, many of those who experienced tinnitus with Cipro were also taking ibuprofen. Tinnitus is listed as a possible side effect for ibuprofen.

Plus: naps. There are multiple threads of TT members saying their T spiked after a nap.

I'm confused why your doctor is concerned about red ear canals. Do you have any fluid in your ears? Pain? Ears canals can become red for a wide range of reasons. Even just ear plug use can cause it. Crying and being upset can cause red ear canals, too.
