Cause of Tinnitus
Unknown
My Story Goes like this :
  • On 26 November I had an accident on bike.
  • I broke my right clavicle. Literally it was 3 pieces.
  • Doctor checked told me to give it some time to see whether it heals.
  • Doctor prescribed me some pain killers and swelling reduction medicines.
  • While I was at bed rest I used earphones quiet alot. Volume about 40% nothing crazy and just was watching documentary and YouTube stuff.
  • After 15 days visited doctor, he told me you have no option but plate fixation of clavicle. Gone through operation under general anaesthesia on 18th December.
  • Few days after operation i.e on 28th december while I was watching some documentary, i removed earphones and there was that high pitch sound which is still there.
  • I never went to gigs nor to clubs nor to concert. Never listened to loud music in my life.
  • Few days back , i developed eye floaters . I don't know it has any correlation with tinnitus or not but i was panicked about that too.

Current State :
  • No panic
  • Upset
  • Tinnitus is mostly heard in one ear. Either left or right. When standing it's right ear always when I lay down it depends
  • Not trying anything for now because i have tried everything from tinnex shit, ginkgo to whatever available in india . Nothing worked.
  • Worrying about eye floaters
  • Driving bike is no more fun . When I wear helmet it screams like shit . I live in india where people drive that stupid bullet which itself produces 100db sound because people in here customise the silencer to make it more loud so that they can catch more attention. Ha Ha i think this is enough.
  • Currently I am searching for job in software development field. I have interview on 9th April in tieto. I am already scared how I am going to work with tinnitus.

Hope life will be good with you all people around . Enjoy . Peace !

Too many factors to consider. But in the interest of sharing information, I will attach a research paper on trauma induced tinnitus.

A standard and basic starting point is a hearing test: along with tinnitus, head injuries can cause hearing loss. There are specific ways trauma induced hearing loss can be observed on an audiogram.

I had helmet on, I didn't had any head injury as far as I know. Hearing test is fine upto 8KHz. Only thing I suspect is earphones and anesthesia.

software development field

Hi men,

I'm a software engineer. As soon as you habituate to your sound, and you make it part of your everyday life, there will be no problem working in the software development field.

I can hear my Tinnitus everytime everywhere. Including inside airplanes, but i can function really well as a developer, no problem... go for it.

X2. No problem for working in software IT field for me too. It may be tough at the beginning as it was hard to concentrate. But it gets better over time.

Yeah but preparation is trouble for me . IT situation in india is pretty different than in other counties.
