I have had "T" for about 37 years. I have had this as long as I can remember.
When people ask I tell them it started at about 12 yrs old. I generally just disregard it and have for all this time. I have good hearing even with the high pitched ring. Some frequencies are not as noticeable but as I type this, for example, I can hear the fan on my laptop. It's not noisy, but it is there.
I think my "T" is from the Dr. prescribing antibiotics for me every time I had tonsillitis, ear infection and sinus infection. I joke and say it is from my Mom yelling at me all the time. She was loud.
- Later in life 18-21 I used to have a loud stereo in my car 119dBA's measured at ear level in front seat. Probably not as loud as some cars are today, but I am certain that didn't help anything.
Recently I have tried Ginko and Vitiamin C and I have notice no changes. I saw some people use steroids - and I have had them for other reasons (swelling in my knee) and I have never noticed a change in pitch or intensity.
I would like to get rid of it if possible. Just looking for those that might have had some success.
A good friend of mine is an audio engineer (old school) he told me that the little hairs in your inner ear are broke and that is the end of your hearing. But I can generally hear frequency from about 23hz to 18000 w/o an issue.
