So it's around the 5 month mark since my mild tinnitus became loud and intrusive tinnitus due to an ear infection I had in November.

It's been the hardest thing ever to deal with and I ended up in a rehab type place due to the depression and anxiety it caused, the depression has lifted , but the anxiety is still here although it's calmed down to a more manageable level.

I've been off work for a few months and although progress is very slow I am begininng to see and feel like my old self for moments of the day, I've still got a long way to go but I hope in time things will get better as this is no way to live a life and I have a family that really need me to function and work again, I wish you all the best

I have been in a similar situation to you @Bazan and wish you well. Take each day as it comes and don't push yourself too hard because tinnitus isn't easy when it affects a person in the way you describe. Things will improve just give it time.

All the best
Michael

Thank you @Michael Leigh , for taking the time to speak to me on the phone a few times . I promise when I get to your stage, I will be the one supporting people like you do!
