Wow. Harsh.Haha? You have an odd sense of humor.
Never underestimate tinnitus. You might have it under control now but it can get worse, and you might end up having to commit suicide because of it. To avoid that fate, protect your hearing.
I'm happy it improved. Enjoy your life...

Yes, it has faded 90%+. it will be 3 years in September. I can say that I don't notice it anymore unless I am in a very quiet place listen for it.@jjflyman Hi, how are you. I remember reading that your tinnitus has significantly faded. How is it now? Is it still fading? Is it very low? What would you say it is on a scale of 1 to 10?
That's awesome. I hope to get there. How long did it take before you noticed it starting to get better? I'm 5 months in and it's only slightly better.Yes, it has faded 90%+. it will be 3 years in September. I can say that I don't notice it anymore unless I am in a very quiet place listen for it.
I would say it went from a 8-9 down to a 1. This is my second trauma tinnitus, and I am 59 years old, so it is quite amazing that they healed as much as they have.
IMO, Someone who is younger and a first time trauma, I would say they would most likely recover fully in around 2 years.
It seemed to take many months before I noticed any improvement. Maybe 4-5 months, then I would notice it was slightly less noticeable in the morning, and get louder thru the day. That's awesome. Yeah me too. It has gotten a little better than when it started. It is also much lower in the morning as well and then gets louder throughout the day. I didn't have an acoustic trauma, I'm guessing it's from stress. But I don't know. I don't go to concerts or wear ear buds.It seemed to take many months before I noticed any improvement. Mine was from an acoustic trauma (concert)
So you don't understand the plight of people that feel motivated to execute themselves over their intense suffering so you call them "gross ass people"? Maybe you should leave us.Another person sharing success and someone has to come in and say they are going to commit suicide... gross ass people... let him win.
It's pointless to post success stories on this forum. There is always someone here whose vision of success doesn't line up with the OP. Tinnitus is different for everyone and so are others versions of success. I'm getting tired of these stories eliciting anger and jealousy. When someone posts success others act like they are the victims of that success. That's not how this should work.Another person sharing success and someone has to come in and say they are going to commit suicide... gross ass people... let him win.
That's fine but you don't tell someone else they are going to kill themselves. If you want to do it to yourself that's fine but you're gross if you imply someone else will... and this forum needs me obviously. So you don't understand the plight of people that feel motivated to execute themselves over their intense suffering so you call them "gross ass people"? You are in the eye of the storm and very soon you will have a recordatory of the wound that is living in your ear. Enjoy while it lasts.I used to linger here a lot, scared and worried all the time. 5th year here and it's still there. It can get loud but not like before, I don't come here often now like I used to, my brain is tamed to ignore it to the max and I feel pretty much normal now...
It's not a big thing in my life anymore.
I thought I would let you guys know.
I don't care about the cure any more as well, I have been eating and drinking whatever I want. I actually use headphones too lol.
Anyways. It's not a bother anymore. Used to be loud af. Now it's all low and quiet haha...
Sayonara.
