Aspirin Toxicity/Possibly Noise
What's up with this stuff? Any input?

7,8-DHF is a synthetic flavonoid which can reach the brain and activate a receptor (TrkB) that promotes neuronal growth. Some animal evidence suggests that 7,8-DHF may have some cognitive and motor benefits and may be nootropic, but no human evidence for these claims exists to date.

Hearing loss study at USC, Harvard shows hope for millions
"The researchers designed a molecule combining 7,8-dihydroxyflavone, which mimics a protein critical for development and function of the nervous system, and bisphosphonate, a type of drug that sticks to bones. The pairing of the two delivered the breakthrough solution, the researchers said, as neurons responded to the molecule, regenerating synapses in mouse ear tissue that led to repair of the hair cells and neurons, which are essential to hearing."

@JohnAdams where did you get it and why did you stop curcumin?
I never intended to stay on it indefinitely for this experiment. My plan was always to stay on it for awhile and then cease. I was trying to mimic the mouse gamma secretase inhibitor experiments. They were fed the compound for just 5 days and observed for 3 months. Here in a month or so if I don't get the results I was looking for, I'll go back on it just because it is really good for you and did seem to greatly help my tinnitus. Everything I own right now is yellow though.

I have tried curcumin as well and it lessened my tinnitus for the first two weeks but now it came back to what it was :( let us know how you go on with the 7,8-dihydroxyflavone.

This is very interesting according to the research for 7-8 DHF:
  • 7,8-dihydroxyflavone mimics the activity of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), and has potent neuroprotective and nootropic properties
This is hope inspiring, because Otonomy is working towards cochlear synaptopathy cure by increasing BDNF according to otonomy research: https://globenewswire.com/news-rele...n-for-Research-in-Otolaryngology-Meeting.html
"OTO-413 is a proprietary, sustained-exposure formulation of brain-derived neurotropic factor (BDNF) which is a naturally occurring protein involved in neuron growth and repair. Nonclinical studies by Otonomy and other research groups have demonstrated that local administration of BDNF repairs ribbon synapses damaged due to noise trauma or exposure to ototoxic chemicals and restores hearing function. "
So 7-8 DHF works by the same principle increasing BDNF.
So does anybody know if taking this orally will restore some synapses and help cochlear synapthopathy will it reach the cochlea and stay here long enough to do anything?
I can't believe we have natural cure to cochlear synaptopathy and sensorineural hearing loss and no company is yet to take this cheap wildly available cure because of FDA beurocratic bs even if some company where willing to take it we would have to wait 5-10 years for anything to come to fruition we would have to wait that many years while people are suffering and taking their own lifes i have no doubt that cure is out here, but because of corporate greed we will have to wait for it for a long time. I'm really willing to try anything at this point to improve my hearing even though i know it's pretty much impossible task i can't continue living with muffled distorted hearing so i think i will give this a try i will take 2 capsules per day of this formulation https://www.amazon.com/Modular-Series-Model-Number-Dihydroxyflavone/dp/B00O5N69EY/?tag=tinntalk-20 for 3 months and report the results here.

I'm one week in on taking this daily. It's making me feel better about myself. Maybe it's making my tinnitus go down, I'm not sure. And I agree, this could cure many of us right now if we just had a specialist to squirt it in our eardrum. We have to wait years and years for some company to pony up and go through the FDA red tape for that. Why?!?!?!??!

Wasn't your tinnitus barely audible to begin with...?
Not always. Theres times when I walk into a quiet room and my whole head starts ringing like a bell. I was invited to a church last Sunday and the PAs were so loud that I've been having a bad spike since then. Except in the dead of night, it goes away, except last night. It was going wild. But what's weird is that one t tone in my left ear is basically gone but the high pitch one is spiked. When I was on high doses of curcumin there were times in the day that it was totally gone and I thought I was being cured. I was obviously wrong.

I have the very same feelings as you. But be sure, we will definitely find something soon. Plants are an unexplored world and interactions between them are not known.

This week I am starting with IGF-1, NGF and NT-3 contained in Lu-rong.

I will describe it in my thread as soon as they will deliver them to me.

Why those things? I'd be more than happy to try it too.

I said that this supplement contains it all. It is very neuro regenerative. I want to see how it will affect my ears.
Growth factors were expected to induce HC proliferation during the postnatal stage because they have a marked capacity for inducing proliferation in treated cells. When neonatal rat utricle cells were dissociated and cultured, the effect of various types of growth factors on the proliferation of utricular cells was investigated quantitatively (Zheng et al., 1997). Among several growth factors tested, epidermal growth factor, transforming growth factor α, basic fibroblast growth factor, and IGF-1 were able to induce proliferation.

Maybe mix it with celastrol which is enchancing Atoh1 and promoting differentiation. I want to build up a base of herbs potentially useful and then try different combinations of them.

Is it just me or does it seem like theres alot of science papers that postulate these things could treat hearing loss but they never follow up on it? What is wrong with these people? "This (blank) drug/compound could regenerate nerves, hearing whatever, a derp not following up on it......" something just doesnt seem right here about all of this.

It's not only this man. I can cure staphylococcus with herbs. Docs treat it with steroids by years. I finished him in 2 months (hands up to arms were one big wet itchy wound) now beautiful white skin without scars.

My friend has osteonecrosis of the hands. Apparently, only the surgical shortening of the wrist remained. Pain everyday. He could not move his hands. The doctor did not know what to say when he squeezed his hand after healing with herbal ointments for 3 months. Maybe for hearing condition there is some solution.

The ectopic introduction of Atoh1 led to formation of supernumerary cochlear sensory hair cells, and aberrant overexpression of Atoh1 stimulated trans-differentiation of supporting cells to hair cells. Although investigations into the underlying mechanism have identified Pou4f3, Gfi1 and Myosin 7a as potent downstream effectors.

Bro. Please post more.

How long did u end up taking it and I guess no conclusive results on 7,8?

I'm still taking it. It's like a light stimulant/antidepressant.

I take it 2-3 a day. It's super inexpensive. I love it. No real affect on my T, I think. Maybe it helped me heal from my last spike I'm not sure.

Here is an overall summary of my tinnitus experience. Give or take, sorry for the crudeness of drawing.

You said earlier that your tinnitus was almost gone?? Do you think perhaps this vitamin is the cause of your low tinnitus??
