7,8-Dihydroxyflavone (7,8-DHF)

You said earlier that your tinnitus was almost gone?? Do you think perhaps this vitamin is the cause of your low tinnitus??
Tbh I have no clue. I really feel like curcumin does indeed help a lot.

2-3 weeks ago I was hearing crickets in all kinds of noise and having nasty hyperacusis and that went away. This leads me to believe others here may be able lower their high pitch high and hyperacusis too.

So you still think Curcumin is the best vitamin out there then? Interesting... But the doses you take seem so high and I'm afraid of stomach problems :/

I'm still taking it. It's like a light stimulant/antidepressant.

I take it 2-3 a day. It's super inexpensive. I love it. No real affect on my T, I think. Maybe it helped me heal from my last spike I'm not sure.

Here is an overall summary of my tinnitus experience. Give or take, sorry for the crudeness of drawing.

Aight, will look into this compound.
What is your dosage of B12 and Curcumin daily? I have Thorne Meriva brand of the curcumin.

I'd say take 2-3 grams a day, I was taking 8 grams per day. Eat with a meal. Tbh B12 doesn't do anything for me.

No, I started taking like 2-3 grams at night by cooking with it.

This is very interesting according to the research for 7-8 DHF:
  • 7,8-dihydroxyflavone mimics the activity of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), and has potent neuroprotective and nootropic properties
This is hope inspiring, because Otonomy is working towards cochlear synaptopathy cure by increasing BDNF according to otonomy research: https://globenewswire.com/news-rele...n-for-Research-in-Otolaryngology-Meeting.html
"OTO-413 is a proprietary, sustained-exposure formulation of brain-derived neurotropic factor (BDNF) which is a naturally occurring protein involved in neuron growth and repair. Nonclinical studies by Otonomy and other research groups have demonstrated that local administration of BDNF repairs ribbon synapses damaged due to noise trauma or exposure to ototoxic chemicals and restores hearing function. "
So 7-8 DHF works by the same principle increasing BDNF.
So does anybody know if taking this orally will restore some synapses and help cochlear synapthopathy will it reach the cochlea and stay here long enough to do anything?
I can't believe we have natural cure to cochlear synaptopathy and sensorineural hearing loss and no company is yet to take this cheap wildly available cure because of FDA beurocratic bs even if some company where willing to take it we would have to wait 5-10 years for anything to come to fruition we would have to wait that many years while people are suffering and taking their own lifes i have no doubt that cure is out here, but because of corporate greed we will have to wait for it for a long time. I'm really willing to try anything at this point to improve my hearing even though i know it's pretty much impossible task i can't continue living with muffled distorted hearing so i think i will give this a try i will take 2 capsules per day of this formulation https://www.amazon.com/Modular-Series-Model-Number-Dihydroxyflavone/dp/B00O5N69EY/?tag=tinntalk-20 for 3 months and report the results here.

Did you try? Will you be reporting in January?

@JohnAdams, did you go through with this?

Is while back I bought 1 gram of this stuff. I take it every once in a while sublingually because it helps me focus and be productive. I just use a small amount, but never thought about it being used for for Tinnitus. I may have to order more and pay attention to what it does with that at a bigger dose.

For those taking it, how much do you take? Do you notice a tolerance build up?

Wasn't your tinnitus barely audible to begin with...?
His tinnitus widely fluctuated just like his attitude.

When it was low he would put on a leader's mask and declare victory and when it was high he would criticize and insult the orthodoxy.
