A Supplement That Resolved My Tinnitus

Well I'm really not into these supplements stuff but this one seems to have harmless ingredients so I've ordered it, to France. Hopefully, I'll have this around March or something ;) thanks @karine

Just wanted to ask if anyone knows where we can buy this in Europe. It is not for sale in Amazon France or UK and so maybe somewhere else is selling it. Think can get it from Amazon USA but add on another 8 dollars for delivery I think? How much was the total bill for you James from Amazon USA.......?

Vinpocetine, one of the key ingredients in this cocktail, is actually a regulated pharmaceutical grade drug in much of Eastern Europe, and is used to treat pulsatile tinnitus and some hearing-loss caused cochlear damage. It has decent efficacy for people who experience pulsatile tinnitus, but it also has neurological side effects that are pretty benign but not tolerated particularly well by everyone. @Karen reported some good success using Vinpocetine for her ototoxicity-induced pulsatile tinnitus (initially, but then discontinued because of the way it made her feel in the days that followed), and there are some success stories of people who have experienced a miraculous recovery using Vinpocetine in a multi-drug cocktail designed to cause healing to affected vestibular and vascular passages that might be affecting their acoustic nerve.

I would absolutely try this supplement if your doctor says you are free to do so, and are not taking any other prescription medications. Vinpocetine, and nutritional supplements in general, are known to have some unpredictable interactions, according to my acupuncturist, who wanted to wait until after I was done with prednisone and any other anti-inflammatory before prescribing Vinpocetine.

Ginko, selenium, vitamin E, magnesium, zinc and a nootropic.
People have been trialling these things for years with zero results. Maybe you'll get some results if you have some sort of deficiency related to the above ingredients.
Quite useless for 99.9% of T cases.
Well, maybe the selenium will be useful if you have a thyroid condition :pompous:

I hope I'm not misleading anyone here, that is the last thing I want to do. It is working for me and it took a couple of weeks to kick in for me. I'm curious though if it could help others. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you guys.

I am curious, too, @karine. This is the fifth time I've heard about a miraculous recovery and/or significant improvements using a supplement or drug that contains Vinpocetine. I've placed in an order and figure, this probably can't harm me. Why not?

That's exactly what i said. Keep me posted. Seems like a lot of people are interested, so I hope it works. You should notice a difference before the end of the bottle anyways, if it does work. The pharmacist seemed to think highly about this supplement and he said he had good results with it. I've never taken any supplements myself, but I figured, can't hurt if they're all natural.

@karine Did you ever have other symptoms, like maybe head pressure/headaches and a feeling of head and ear congestion? Or maybe sound sensitivity? I've had T for almost a month and these symptoms feel worse than the ringing sometimes. Can't tell if it's sinus infection related or what, since that's how mine started.

When I hit my head I had a migraine for three years, and I felt dizzy all the time, it all started the day after I hit my head. I couldn't sleep either cause it was so loud.

I just started taking this last night. No dramatic differences yet but I have also had some good days in the last week where my tinnitus has been barely noticeable. I'll keep you all updated. FYI my delivery range was supposed to be between Feb 17-25 but I got it yesterday. I ordered from Amazon.com.

Here is what it looks like. I put it next to a sliced apple to give you some idea of how big it is.

I don't really like the word "cure" and I am always skeptical about these sort of things. I have tried over 50+ supplements early on with my T including every one of those listed in the ingredients of this one supplement with very little success. However, it is not a lot of money (far less than I spent collectively) and if it brings some success or peace of mind, it is worth it. I am excited for Karine that this worked! Either way, keep your expectations in check and fingers crossed!

You're right, I shouldn't have used the word cure. I did put a question mark to doubt but I should have worded it better. My apologies.

Karine, no apologies needed. You found something that worked, you wanted to share and I applaud your positivity in that. Tinnitus is a tricky bugger. And there are so many variables. I just didn't want anyone to get their hopes up too high thats all! I am looking forward to others updates on this. Thanks for sharing! Sorry if I came off harsh, was not my intention. :)

Well that's what I'm worried about. I don't want to be misleading or sending false hope. Is there a way to change the name of this thread?

I hope it's better now. Should reflect that it doesn't necessarily have effect on others, but worked for you.

No you were not harsh at all, you have every right to question it. I did myself. :)

I'll be really interested to hear how the vinpocetine works for the other folks who are ordering it. I'm so glad it's working for you, Karine! That is great news!

I tried vinpocetine a couple years ago, and for me, it didn't help my tinnitus. In fact, after a couple of days, my tinnitus seemed to get worse, so I had to stop taking it. Vinpocetine seems to increase blood flow to the ears, a lot like gingko biloba does, and it seemed to make my pulsating even more intense.

Good luck to all who are trying it; please keep us posted on how it's working for you!

I'll follow this thread for certain. If lots of people see improvement, it's worth a try. None of the ingredients look dangerous to me, just a mixture of various things people have touted as helping over the years, like a tailored vitamin tablet for your ear. lol

Just checking in. Still no tinnitus. It did come back for a bit but I believe it was because I wore earplugs to sleep. I tried a few times and every time the tinnitus started again, but went away after a while. So now I know what to do and what not to do and I'm being more careful.

Has anyone else tried using this yet?

I started using it for a couple of days but admit I haven't used it for about five days. I didn't notice any difference in my T but did notice that I had some digestive issues so I stopped using it. I may give it another go soon but I'm not sure that the etiology of my tinnitus would be affected by this supplement. I'll let you know if I do go back on it soon.

Agreed. I've started taking this supplement and noticed no change. Given @karine's etiology -- being predominantly pulsatile and circulatory, from the sounds of it -- I wouldn't expect vinpocetine to help people who are dealing primarily with neuromuscular inflammation, eustachian tube issues, or temporomandibular joint dysfunction. Even so, I will be giving it a shot.
