A Swiss tourist claims the hotel located across the street from Graceland failed to turn off an emergency alarm for 30 minutes, which ultimately caused him to develop the condition tinnitus, which he claims brought on severe marriage problems with his wife. The upset guest is now suing the Guest House at Graceland for $75,000.

He should sue for more than that seeing that:

1) it is permanent for life

2) there is no treatment

3) he is limited in what he can do in life

4) his quality of life has suffered because of it

Does Graceland own the hotel too? Seems odd to sue Graceland when they had nothing to do with it.

I am not sure if Graceland does or if the media source is referencing it as a hotel near Graceland, kind of like you would say an NYC hotel even though NYC does not own the hotel.

Though my first thought after reading the headline was to think he got tinnitus from Graceland blasting Elvis music.

He's just fucking dumb and stupid. Get out of the hotel.
Ultimately, I'd like to see tinnitus make a splash like this. It's a victory for sufferers if he wins the case. Is there more to the story...? Why didn't he leave? Could he not get out in time?

It's very chilling to me that a person with normal ears can get tinnitus from an alarm going off for 30 minutes. Depending on where you are in a building and how fast you can move, it could take more than a minute to get out. There has to be damage from that. We just don't want to admit it.

Probably won't get that much if he gets anything at all.

It's different, but my tinnitus/hyperacusis was caused by a work injury (stupid co-worker) in a place where I should not have needed hearing protection. I'm more or less SOL when it comes to getting much compensation.

Hearing damage isn't really taken seriously by anyone that hasn't suffered from it.

Why would it be a victory? The only small victory there is if he wins is that more people will get to know this evilness (tinnitus). I wouldn't call that a victory.

This guy is an idiot and and is seeking public attention. We will never know if he's telling the truth.

I've been studying law for 3 years and the judge will laugh about that case.

I didn't read the article. I will, maybe, soon. Maybe I'll change my mind. But with what I've read, he's dumb.

This is my opinion and I'm open (opened??what to write?) to any of yours. Hehe good night it's a funny post though

Edit: I've read the long article. I do not change my mind. This guy is a joke. He doesn't really know what tinnitus is.
Get divorced please.

Edit 2: How could this even be real what the hell
