Hello all, I am just slightly worried about an increase in my tinnitus and the safety of my speakers.

I recently played my speakers on a high volume for around a second or so but I am worried about potential damage. I use some old Logitech Z200 speakers. I looked on their website which states that the SPL max is >88dB and are 10w however I am not very knowledgeable about these things.

Is there any danger that I worsened my tinnitus by playing them at close to max volume or am I being paranoid?

Doesn't sound like something to worry about. Do your ears feel different at all - any "fullness" or pressure?
There is no pain, I feel pressure but I am congested. Thanks for the comforting words, I am most likely paranoid, I reckon that it is unlikely that 10w multimedia speakers are really capable of very high volumes I guess.

I have chronic nasal congestion for a number of years, I believe there is a link as to why I got noise-induced tinnitus whereas thousands of other people going to the same level of concerts over the years have not. I'm really paranoid about checking volume levels for everything before I press play, after 2 or 3 scares like that too.
