I am planning a trip out west to do some snowboarding in Alberta, I live in Ontario. I am pretty sure I have noise induced T from loud music over the years. Its a hissing sound in both years. I am curious about flying, will it be safe, can it get worst, how can I prepare?

Hi @JAKUB, I have noise-induced T as well. I would do the following, where possible, but overall, I wouldn't worry much. If your ears don't adjust to pressure well, you might have some slightly louder T after from that.

1. Get a seat ahead of the wing and away from the window
2. Try flight earplugs for noise reduction and pressure (do not used closed earplugs - such as foam ones)
3. Take some kind of decongestant prior to the flight and some multi-vitamins

Safe travels to you!

Hi @JAKUB, we just had a long discussion about this on another thread. You will see my long post down toward the end of the thread. I am very cautious about flying (reasons why explained in the post) and I follow a pretty strict protocol -- which is pretty much what @awbw8 suggested, too.

And yes, those ear plugs you linked to are the ones. Read the instructions first! And if you have small ear canals, buy the ones for kids.
