Been watching (used to train as well, before the tinnitus got really bad) since I was a kid, all the way back to when the UFC didn't even have rules.

Super excited about Stipe vs Ngannou, I don't think it's going past round one. I'll be rooting for Ngannou, but I respect Stipe and recognize the challenge he's going to present for Francis.

Any fellow mixed martial arts fans on Tinnitus Talk?

New member here.....I watched the fights and thought both DC and Stipe used their strategy to win the right way, aside from either opponent not having anywhere near their experience. Nogannu is a beast but big muscles need big oxygen. I enjoyed the 2 title fights!

Welcome to the forum brother... I have so much respect for DC, humble, respectful, truly deserving champion. That high crotch single is nasty, it was only a matter of time before he had Volkan is his world, nobody not named Jon Jones is defending against that. And while I was rooting for Ngannou, Stipe did everything right, he pretty much wrote the book on how to beat a powerhouse like Francis in that fight. I even think he could of submitted him in the forth round, it's been a long time since I've seen someone that tired in a fight. Francis was throwing everything he had in the first, tired his big self out completely, Stipe's boxing is underrated. Definitely let everyone know why he's the champ, it's too bad Cain's injured, that would be a hell of a fight.

Well stipe beat Werdum, Overeem, and Dos Santos so that deserves respect. I'd like to see him fight Mark Hunt. People are calling him a paper champ just like DC. My all time fav fighter was Frank Mir. He fought smart and was a submission specialist. He broke Tim Sylvia's forearm and that's a true arm bar . And beat Brock Lesnar by submission! The good ole days when the heavyweights were exciting and didnt take a year before someone defended the title.

I can't see why anyone would call Stipe a paper champ, he's wiped out most of the division, most by stoppage. Some still call DC a paper champ but he's undefeated vs everyone but Jones, and Jones was likely cheating the entire time so I don't even consider those to be true loses. I'd like to see DC vs Stipe but I don't think it'll happen, Cain might be coming back and DC won't go back up to heavyweight if Crain's there because they're good friends and teammates. I used to root for Mir back in the day too, his bjj was legit. Lesnar didn't see that kneebar coming and had absolutely no idea how to defend against it, although damn was Mir getting whooped up until that point.
