I was thinking. Since tinnitus is an auditory issue, why can't the sound just be turned off in the brain? Even if it is all sound.
We are learning more and more about the brain every day. We have had nerve blocks for years, though I suppose that works only on the lower body and is probably simple by comparison.
Is there any research being done with turning off sound? Might be kind of dangerous if your fir alarm went off at night. But it still might make for a good night sleep for folks that have to sleep in a noisy environment and certainly for us with tinnitus.
