Hello all

Anyone here got anything in the way of Virtual reality devices?

I got a PS4 and PSVR at Christmas and it is amazing to play games like Skyrim in vr. Farpoint was pretty cool as well.

Doom... well I have dreamt of playing it in VR since I was a child... DoomVFR has been a dream.

Naturally I don't use headphones with it, just have the sound from my TV but it has been a good distraction from my tinnitus.

I think the industry is going to grow rapidly and get much better in time.

Despite having tinnitus... this is an amazing time to live, technologically speaking.

I also have a PS4 and PSVR, best game I have played is Resident Evil 7.
I play with headphones on, the PSVR headphones socket does not go very loud, compared to other sources.

I am happy with 2D porn.

I had seen a VR application where one can draw in 3D and walk around what one drew. This seems very cool, but I can see getting bored with it within a week or two.

Those applications are always boring unless you're on the spectrum and end up mastering them. The really immersive games like Doom are the only long-lasting entertainment most people will get from VR in the short term. The technology has a lot of room for improvement and it will get there over time. I can't wait for games with Ray Tracing + VR, it'll be really hard to distinguish from real life and some people are going to make some revolutionary/creative/aesthetic experiences in it.

I do not keep up with VR since I cannot play video games with my chronic pain. I would be interested if there are controller-less VRs though.
