I don't believe I have seen anyone mention having tones in the range 2000 to 2500 Hz. I got these sounds in my "good" ear a few weeks after getting high frequency whine in my "bad" ear. The thing is these mid-range sounds vary so much. Sometimes I'll get one sound, then if I yawn it changes. Other times it will slide to a new note as I turn over in bed. Sometimes I get them all at once. Usually it's a major chord, but today it's a jazz chord! These sounds were caused by acoustic trauma (microphone feedback). I'll never go near the guilty party if he has his fingers on a PA system again...

The overall sound is like wind through a pipe, almost a sine wave but not quite. It's not that unpleasant, except for when it keeps changing in volume and pitch. So I guess I have somatic tinnitus as well.

Anyone else get these frequencies?
