Anyone Have Tinnitus in Their Head?

Loud electrical power line buzzing and ringing noise - as bad as it is, it seems even worse at night.

I can't conclude if it's "in my ears" too but plugging my ears sure doesn't help.

It is in my head for sure. So, if it's in the head or has something to do with neurons firing so we perceive a certain volume, pitch and number of tones, how do researchers treat this? It's disconcerting to me.

Ears or head or both, it doesn't matter to me. It is intrusive and loud either way. But, perhaps, it matters for treatments?

Agree with others that a bath can help - I had a really bad day on Saturday and I got my partner to run me a bath (the running water was sounding too loud to run it myself as I think I had gone into a bit of a 'panic' mode at the time) - I don't normally have baths but it seemed to calm me down a lot.
