Virus in the ears
I could really use some support, anyone able to help? I've had tinnitus forever 10 yrs but for some reason it has kicked off incredibly loud today, it's literally deafening. I'm trying not to panic, but I am scared.

Hi,
Could be due to wax build up or a virus starting.
Try not to panic as it should settle down over the next day or so and could be stress related but unless you have put your ears in danger of loud sound I'm sure it will settle...lots of love glynis

It might be but should only be short lived and no permanent spike .
Try it a few more days as the sinus needs treating and that alone can spike tinnitus with sinus problems ......
You could try steam inhalation too....lots of love glynis

Try download a app of natural sounds to listen to at night but I would not use ear phones throughout the night only on low for short periods as for some people they can spike tinnitus....lots of love glynis

I've got an alarm clock that plays all the nature sounds etc.& a speaker pillow, but I don't think it will help, it's just too loud. Thank you anyway though

Hi, I too have dreadfully loud tinnitus, I have had it extremely loud for the past couple of weeks! Mine seems to be accompanied by blood rushing all over the body ! Do you get those symptons ?

I do, and my eyebrows buzz along at times. I assume its something to do with the limbic system.

When I used Flonase mine went through the roof. Each day it would get progressively louder until I stopped using it. I have no idea why.
