Are There Any Antidepressants That Are Not Ototoxic for Tinnitus and Hyperacusis?

Are there any recommended depression meds that are not ototoxic?

Sorry. This is probably a question for a qualified doctor. Personally I'd stay away from antidepressants if at all possible. That said, I recognise sometimes you cannot. You'd better talk to a doctor who would be more knowledgeable HOPEfully!

I wouldn't take any of that shit, it's all totally toxic to your body, not just your brain/ears.

Effexor made my tinnitus a bit louder.

Mirtazapine didn't affect my tinnitus, and reduced my anxiety a bit.

Try 5-HTP. It roughly does what most antidepressants do without messing up your brain.
Very good supplement.

I take Escitalopram. I haven't had any problems as a result of this drug and I have been taking it for over a month.
